Why is it surprising Chang Chen and Nini is in a tv drama?

I'm so happy this is directed by Liu Yu Fen again, but is this still in the same world as the previous Three Worlds Three Lives 10 miles of Peach Blossoms? Because one of the team members in the video said "what they couldn't do in Three Worlds Three Lives, they wanted to expand on in this drama". Does anyone know if its related or not? I'm not sure because the God of War is Mo Yuan in the previous drama and here it's Jiu Chen.

Do you guys know when is the second season coming out? It said at the end of last episode, that the second season was going to come out, but it didn't mention when. :(

OMG before coming here to read the comments, I thought I was the only one who couldn't continue the drama nor understand why this drama was so popular!

Thanks Jordan for going into depth in explaining these characters, and here I thought it was just another set of superficial lead characters that you would find in a typical teen romance story. I was wondering why this drama had been so popular but I kept putting it off after watching the first few episodes. After seeing it from the perspective with BZH as a possible villain, and how you explained the process Bones underwent in discovering herself, it completely changed my mind about the originality of this story. If only I could read more critical comments like the ones you made above, it would make the story seem much less shallow than my first impression of it, and much more enjoyable... even though I still wouldn't go into the trouble of finishing the drama myself ;P.
(Another reason that deterred me from continuing the drama was that I also never felt the chemistry between BZH and Bones, and I tried so hard to look the other way, but I never found BZH attractive hmmm ^^". *sigh* lol)

Especially with what LianSong said at the end - "Dear me" That got me XD
