Wait I don't understand, isn't the "trailers" just cut scenes from their previous dramas, put together? The videos are just briefly introducing the audience to the existence of the drama. The second video with scenes of Chenfeiyu from Evernight, and LuoYunxi from Love is the Winner, looks like a fan made video.

IF! a particular character from this drama happens to be in a good mood and confers some luck to us, the we might be looking at end of 2022 *immediately gets down on knees and prays to some crazy superstition*

Thanks for starting Well given that XieLian spends most of his day going around stuffing his nose in trash to look for stuff worth collecting, the clothes he wear while passing himself as a human, should reflect that. Assuming he kept a regular routine of washing his clothes (because he's basically a powerless god with the exception of Ruoyue), overtime the wear and tear should be apparent in his clothes.

Most importantly, it should mirror the way he sees himself with extremely low self-esteem and his self-depreciating state of mind; nearly everyone makes fun of him to the point the shame no longer affects him. The audience probably won't be told that, so it should be very clear in other aspects of his lifestyle, in which he wouldn't take the initiative to appear prim and proper and wear something with fresh colours - bright blue and white. He's depicted canonically with white colour usually, but even then he has some dust on him sometimes.

Besides, the visual impact of seeing someone who can actually continue to be infatuated and in love with someone who looks like... a poor daoist beggar (excuse me XD), becomes all the more moving and emotionally inspirational.

I totally understand your disappointment :( It was supposed to be a S+ project, but unfortunately whoever was in charge of distributing the budget, made the decision to hold back after the cast was revealed and subsequently as you know already the original art and costume directors left immediately. As you can tell, the budget is very limited. :(((

Oh yess my gripe with the unimaginative hairstyles! *sigh*

I thought a large portion of people who follow this drama were still under the impression the art and costume directors were still on board, so I was surprised to *finally* see someone bring this up!

Truth be told, every time a new costume comes out from the photos, it somehow always manages to retain the tacky factor that I just sit there and stare at it in awe, just scouring for *any* minute details that might lift the overall quality of the outfit up a little bit. Heck, forget quality, even just the thought process behind it and how it links back to the characters is good enough for me already *slumps down a wall and cries in a corner*

OMG I JUST FINISHED READING THE NOVEL FOR THIS, CAN'T BELIEVE IT GOING TO BE ADAPTED!!! so excited.
