I haven't watched this in years, but I remember absolutely loving it. It was one of the first asian dramas I watched. I'm prepared for some very weird red flags and major toxicity from this rewatch but lets see how this goes.

I really liked the rom-com beginning. I love cohabitation romances, I think they're always so fun. It felt like they fell in love too quickly though and after the ML revealed his identity, it just felt like a melodrama with way too much business in it. So first 6 eps or so were 9/10. I dropped at ep 8 because the direction it took just was completely different than the beginning.

Despite the many couple moments throughout the show, I really didn't feel any chemistry between the leads. They felt very comfortable and got along really well, but it just didn't feel like romantic love no matter how many scenes there were. There was little character development to the point that I didn't care enough for the leads themselves to care about where their relationship goes. I dropped at ep 15.

Super cute and wholesome. I love the whole nerd x pretty girl when its done right. I like this version more than the thai version, but both are great. This is also great if you want christmas/winter vibes.

Xiao Bai makes a deal with the spirits where he essentially accepts the punishment of returning back to his very original form, a normal fox. This allows Zijin to come back alive. Zijin doesn't remember anything about the supernatural world but it seems like Xiao Bai does. So essentially Xiao Bai realizes his true goal isn't to become immortal because he finally found a true friend. They can't ever be the way they used to, but they become pet and owner instead.

I skipped all the business scenes and boom the show became amazing. The chemistry was amazing and I really enjoyed all of the comedy and friendship too.

I hate shows with a lot of politics too lol. That's why I stay away from most historical dramas, but this looks really good. How much did you end up having to skip?

The lead's had amazing chemistry and it truly felt like they were in love with each other. The movie was well done, but somehow the way it played out still felt insincere. Surprisingly I didn't cry during this movie even though I thought I would.

The movie is overall just an ok movie. But the ending was amazing and made me feel so much more attached to the rest of the story that I had just watched.
