Is this the kind of badly done story that makes it weirdly good? Like so bad it's entertaining? Or is this just poorly made and boring? I wanna know if this is worth watching.
I don't normally like cutesy FLs, but the FL totally pulled it off in this. The story was quite lackluster and the romance was stiff. I only made it to episode 6, because I really liked the FL but ended up dropping it.
Episodes 1- 6 were really good, a solid 8. The slow build for their relationship was intriguing, blurring the lines but still ambiguous. But then the final 4 episodes were so rushed. The romance becomes heavy handed and it's like they suddenly have intense romantic feelings towards each other when their relationship before was more of a pull towards one another, something mysterious and undefined then boom it was like I'll throw everything away for you? Sadly, my final score is a 7 with the last few episodes being too rushed.
Toni Rakkaen gave such an incredible performance in this. I geniunly did not know he could act this well. He was so charismatic and intimidating. He was the perfect villain.
Each plot is soo good, but very underdeveloped. There's so many interesting storylines in this, it would've been perfect for a short 6-8 episode mini series. But having all of this in just over 2 hours proves to be a bit much, leaving little room for any moment to settle.
To give the story more breathing room and take out some of the convoluted plots, I would have had pran and lahn be a couple already, take out the love triangle, and had less characters overall.
This movie looked amazing. The cinematography was artistic with many creative shots, fun visual editing, and the lighting was absolutely glorious. Genuinely some of the best lighting I've seen in years. Butttt the editing was very choppy, the plot was an absolute mess, and the screenplay felt like it was put together by group of people rushing towards a deadline. There's no buildup for the new characters and instead they give a bunch of flashbacks and backstory for the previous characters. These brand new characters are immediately thrown into the plot and the building of their bonds fall flat compared to the slow moments that build it in the first movie. Also the plot just didn't make much sense in this one.
Very confused why this has such a high rating. The story has so much to work with. Such an interesting world to build yet everything falls flat. With a world full of aliens, how is a cult still the big bad? All the characters fall flat and the MC is severely underdeveloped. The only personality trait she had was kind of sad. Her personality, motivations, and goals never made sense because there was nothing to back them. Events happened instantly with one thing happening after the other with zero breathing room, no moment was left to sit. There's no room to learn about characters, gain empathy, or feel when somethings happens.
To give the story more breathing room and take out some of the convoluted plots, I would have had pran and lahn be a couple already, take out the love triangle, and had less characters overall.
