A small town where nobody knows what a kdrama is
On Kao Dake ja Suki ni Narimasen Dec 22, 2025
I'm confused..Why was the pacing and plot progression so odd? It barely felt like a movie, like nothing happened? The lack of character development and relationship growth had me super confused. I thought the point was getting past surface level assumptions, but no character ever actually managed that?

Poor Blue-Kun just needed friends. Everyone treated him like he were a 2D picture. Only the FL treated him sincerely, but she still treated him as a 3D picture. The poor ML thought that made for a romantic connection, but uhhh he just needed to get out and make some friends.

I loved that the two of them never stopped bickering. They kept picking on each other even at the end and I loved…
The ending special was so good! What an emotionally satisfying ending. Hachi works at the orphanage where Hikaru was placed and Rinta goes to them first after getting out of jail. Hachi and Rinta still have their cute bickering dynamics and make plans to get married and adopt Hikaru. Rinta even goes back to studying mechanics.

Geniunly one of the best ends I've seen where there are no lose ends and everything comes full circle with closure. But it also leaves the characters with hope for the future<3

Ahh this was so cute! All of the characters were sincere and I loved the relationship dynamics. Rinta was such a fun character and I loved how real and strong hachi was. Their relationship was so natural too. It wasn't full of roses and dramatics.

Hachi's worst fear is touching someone and seeing feelings she didn't want to see. So every moment that she nonchalantly sat close to, angled herself towards, or touched rinta's hand, it meant she trusted him enough to do so. Trust and faith in someone is such a wonderful thing to base a relationship on.

I appreciated all the details and dedication to small moments, but the pacing and editing is not great. The timeline switching made me lose some of that curiosity that I would've had if the future hadn't shown us so much already.

I like that the writers put a lot of effort in showing how love is built on lots of small moments, but when the plot is overfilled, it can be a bit much. This would've been better with less episodes. Less side characters and business things, because they didn't carry any emotional weight nor build attachment.

ahhh yes the " he does heinous stuff ...but hes hot " trope
uhh not at all. definitely watch it because it's luckily not one of those that tries to build empathy upon a character being attractive.

This has to go into the hall of fame for the most heart-wrenching series I've ever watched. It's so beautiful, so well done that I cared for everything. I regretted when the characters regretted and wished constantly for things to be differently.

Ok so I'm dropping this on episode 6. The first 4 episodes were dark, intense, and gritty. I loved the writing, acting, and unique plot. But the celebrity arch started and lost all my interest. It's interesting to see a psycho character within mundane reality, that makes it scary. But the entertainment industry is full of two-faced psychos, that's just normal. The rest of the show is just the battle of different types of psychos.

I would rate the first four episodes and 8.5. It they were a 2.5 hour long movie, it'd be a favorite of mine. But the rest of the show... not so much.

People who hate the FL are the horrible ones, She was constantly abused her whole life and now shes the evil one…
You can enjoy her as a character whilst still thinking she's doing wrong. I'm only half way through, but I really like how her character is written. You don't often get anything but perfect leads. But liking her doesn't justify her actions? A victim can also be a perpetrator. It's not an either or situation.

it had a REALLY strong start, and the acting is amazing (i expect nothing less of JCW), but the second act had…
the ending made me so mad too. like what even was the point of the first half of the show if it was going to go that off the rails?

Title The Manipulated Spoiler
Even though the plot was inconsistent and rushed through too many unconnected plots, at least it was entertaining.…
The last few episodes just don't make sense. It's dumb, it's over dramatic and it's like they completely forgot the beginning of the show. His dead brother was an afterthought. The friends that believed in him all those years were randomly thrown in at the end. We don't get to see any emotional closure about his ex-girlfriend either. Why was the first half completely different than the second half of the show?

They're acting like the ML can't kill anyone, but those fights in episode 10 absolutely killed people! He shot people with a nail gun and threw dudes out of a moving car. We even see one get ran over. He killed people! Why are they acting like it just didn't happen?

The plot armor was so annoying as well. The ML was stabbed 100s of times, had his back and ribs broken from so many fights. Yet always appears unfazed? Not to mention, the SA scene in the beginning was thrown in just because? You're telling me there was no trauma that followed him around? Why didn't they commit to any of their plots? The ML should be broken beyond belief.

Did you finish watching it? I just finished and I'd love to know what you thought of it. Also I checked your profile…
Sadly, I dropped it :/ I really like the plot, but the low budget made me too disspointed. I kept getting my hopes too high. What do you think of it now that you've finished it? Does it get better?

Feel free to send me a dm on here to talk more :)

Title Sensei no Shiroi Uso Spoiler
This could've been a meaningful story with two broken people bonding over their trauma, internalized hatred, and…
It definitely depends on the viewer when it comes to perception. But camera angles, lighting, music, etc can influence how someone views a scene. So angles or framing that is typically used in sexual situations is odd to me to use in the case of SA. I've dropped different movies because of the angles they've used before.

I actually have not seen his work. I've only seen bits and pieces as well as the effect of them afterwards. I don't think it's fair to form solid opinions without having full context, like actually watching them fully, but I still end up forming partial opinions. Like the fact that Ryan Murphy didn't get permission from the victim's families, added sexual scenarios, and dramatized real life crimes. I think it feels different if the crimes are so long ago that the victim's families can no longer be affected by it, but so many of them were blindsided when the shows came out. The amount of thirst edits, people getting tattoos of the actors playing irl serial killers, and parents even dressing their kids as serial killers were insaneee.

I geniunly can't remember where I watched it. I checked the main fansub sites I watch and even checked some of the pirate sites, but couldn't find it? I wonder if it was deleted. If I come across it though, I'll send a link over.

btw I saw that you have Yoo Ah In as your profile pic. he's one of my favorite actors! do you have a favorite movie of his? You can dm me a reply so we don't make the comment section too long if you want.
