I'm sorry i don't understand why people ship the 2nd cp, fu ling just straight kill the eternal disciple in front…
yeah i don't ship them romantically (yet) but I do ship them in a hate-ship way. it's interesting to watch the lawfully good eternal being pushed to his brink morally and i like how their relationship is progressing in the opposite way to our leads (they hate each other even more with each interaction)
it's the bare minimum but it's still rare for a kdrama to portray/discuss gay relationships in a positive manner (i.e without making it the butt of a joke), so for that reason i absolutely LOVE how they chose to write the scene when junhwa thought that eunho liked deoksu
Kinda miss seeing Wu Shan. Any idea whether he will appear again guys?
I miss him too, he was actually so sweet and nice :(
I doubt he'll reappear though since they pretty much concluded his character arc after sending him away from the capital for three years. In an ideal happy ending, maybe we'll get to see him reappear to visit our main leads, (hopefully) having found the person he loves, and probably having started a woodwork business.
...anyways, at some point this comment turned into a mini fanfic i apologise 💀
The second lead is in love of nirvana and he is so petite in comparison to his body in this drama since it was…
OMG if i didn't see your comment i would never have realised this!! I remember always thinking the ML's guard in Love of Nirvana was so fine. He looks so different here bc of AI.
the show started off strong. the chemistry between the leads was fun to watch, there were interesting antagonists,…
it was all pretty enjoyable until the whole Niu Jin coup/Prince Bai kidnapping half of Yizhou.
then the tone of the last few episodes became wayyy different from the rest of the show. i don't mind a "darker" show myself but it felt like they were killing off characters left right and centre, just for shock factor. not to mention the writer suddenly went on a "let's make yang jinglan suffer" rampage. listen. i can appreciate the appeal of a bloodied and roughed up ML as much as the next person, but it felt a little overdramatic and unnecessary.
all this to say if ZYC wasn't in this I probably wouldn't have kept watching till the end. so if you're shallow like me then you would also find this to be a great motivator to watch the drama. ZYC gave life to his character and yang jinglan is the perfect blend of clever, flirty, funny, rebellious and earnest. it's a nice change from the typical cold, unsmiling, looks-like-he-hates-everyone-but-the-FL type of ML.
As always, ZYC's acting delivers and he is an absolute treat to watch. i'm looking forward to his future projects!
the show started off strong. the chemistry between the leads was fun to watch, there were interesting antagonists, and it was easy to get invested in Yingying's journey:
Want to start this drama but still not sure. are they together now by Episode 23? how's the chemistry, kiss scenes…
If you want to watch for chemistry, you've come to the right drama! The leads are well-matched and have some ~charged~ moments long before they get together
In my article published today, Zheng Ye Cheng is mentioned. I highly recommend you read it immediately. It's an…
This was a fun read! I didn't initially consider pairing him with LYX but now it makes so much sense. I also think he would look good with Li Landi - she's such a great actor and her recent performance in Love of Nirvana blew me away. Plus visuals wise they would match well
I was actually wondering if they have consummated their marriage and when? then I watched the ep when they first…
I also think they already consummated by now, it's just that they're leaving it as subtext. I thought it was in that one scene when he picked her up and said "I have important matters to do" but now your comment made me think it's probably earlier. Ngl I'm a tad disappointed they're keeping it so chaste bc ZYC is great at kissing scenes, but at least we got one 😆
