history will say benjamin and saxin were platonic, no romantic feelings whatsoever (history lies)

that one chong zhao/bai xi theme song hits different (Under the Moon), like they are peak star-crossed lovers to me actually 😓

For my romance enjoyers (me too lol), yes, the romance is not the main story point but it somehow makes the crumbs of silent yearning even more enjoyable. Li Landi and Ren Jialun's chemistry is so heart-fluttering that I didn't even care about the lack of skinship. Where Jiang Ci was flirtatious and bold about her love, Wei Zhao is shy and reveals his feelings in his own hidden ways: the way his eyes track her, smiling when she is happy and noticing when she isn't; when he returns her promises about their future; when he takes care of her while she's sick - the list goes on! It's peak slow-burn, enemies-to-lovers romance.

does anyone know what the next tencent drama will be after this one?

I just know Benjamin is their biggest shipper 😆

when the drama is trash but the pairing is immaculate 😓 why can we never winnnn

it's not just you, it's kinda distracting me from the drama ngl 😭

did anyone else get Alchemy of Souls flashbacks when ZY was trying to revive Mo Li?? they looked like they were gonna exchange souls at any moment

ok but drama aside, the FL is sooo pretty

when he started crying i cheered

"master of lanling" more like master of gaslighting 😒

this sits at the same table as the gong shangjue side eye (my journey to you)

now that we're through almost all of the contemplations, I have to say my favourite was the Yi City contemplation. Not only did we got the Rong Xian resentment arc, we also got Mumu 😆 It was the perfect mixture of silliness and angst.

I remember being captivated by his performance even though he had very little screentime as Zhuo Yichen's brother in Fangs of Fortune. I didn't know who he was until I started this drama though. He's such a scene stealer!

it could be kill my sins or the first frost

nan xuyue, they could never make me hate you

peak role-reversal romance is bai shuo singlehandedly sparring and managing to fight off zhen yu to take her man back home 😫

ngl the Lanling sect leader gives me such dumbledore vibes

QF I was rooting for you, we were ALL rooting for you 😖😖😖

they already did the boombayah?! our leads are so proactive 🤭
