she is clever, not a strategist level of cleverness but she is clever nonetheless. She is the daughter of a prestigious family and the big picture for her is her family's safety(she is not a queen so she doesn't need to act like one).
I agree she was led by her emotion to protect her family but she was not blinded by it.

not to undermine Xue Ning but there are other FLs who are clever and witty. Hua Qian (Scent of time) and Ming Lan (Story Of Ming Lan) are some examples.

if he died and she got his heart donor I don't think making her with 2ML is possible. even though she once loved 2ML, to be together after getting his heart sounds wrong.

it can be categorized as stalking but also not that kind of stalking. what did he do is admire her secretly in public spaces. remember he lived with a sociopath's parent and no one ever told her how to approach women. Even though his action is problematic he becomes better after FL tells him to do something better(ask the girl directly).
Compared to SML he saved her multiple times. because of his following her, he at least saved her two times by taking her to the hospital when she got a heart problem. his first murderer is for her ( aside from the victim being a killer who killed his friend) and lastly, he is willing to die so she can get a heart transplant( did not repeat his first mistake of killing other people).
with all things above he qualifies to get her and fortunately, she does that.
SML actually got a redemption arc but too bad he doesn't get the girl
in the movie, 90% + of the movie is k&cream story but in this series half of them is another main couple. It's a sad story+sad story but because of that less immersion in K&Cream's story.
they tweak k&cream Story. for their shipper maybe it's a good thing because they are together for a longer time but the impact and unique ending of the movie is gone.
