I hate to say this but not even a single character here is acting their age. Everyone is just too immature to…
actually, Yong Pil is too mature it is weird. Usually in drama when the other has elementary school emotional level the great guy has junior or senior level but Yong Pil has a university level of emotional level.

Can you listen to yourself tho? I still wonder how you guys always want a story to go your way when you’re not…
idk the reality of females need more attention than males in relation to solving emotional problems so no comment. but she has a whole family with her and YP dad only has his son.

YP dad not trying to move on, indeed, he is willing to die so not moving on is not surprising. he does not handle it the best way but not the worst. he did not wreak havoc until ep 14 but just silently hates SD family and doesn't want his son together with someone who is partly responsible for his wife dying.

he did not need to pamper his father but this drama clearly shows that YP leaned toward SD family. his father's action was indeed not what a mature adult should be. but why does someone want YP father to die, what is so wrong and different than SD mother selfishly keeps diving and hiding her heart illness despite the sea being where YP mother died and YP worries.

i don't care actually about what YP will do even if he wants to cut ties with his father. actually, i hope that happens earlier.

"I see no reason why a grown man should be holding grudges for that long tho" bro I also see no reason someone wants to suicide after her wife dies that's not what normal/average people do.

yong pil is not wrong but comparing what he does to sam dal and her mother to what he does to his father is not the same and we can see at least what the writer tells us until episode 14 he cares so much toward Samdal and her mother but he only has a decent relationship to his father.

after he know that SD mother had a heart problem he made a mark on her diving equipment and monitored it almost continuously and until now I haven't seen what YP did after his father almost suicide. maybe he sees that his father is capable but he is alone.

there are a lot of comments saying that YP dad is selfish etc and wants to slap even someone say hopes he dies. tbh SD mother is not free from flaws to hurt others but the difference is she did not make FL and ML separated and that is what (probably) almost all viewers care about.

she knows that YP mother died in the sea, she knows that YP knows her heart problem and can't dive, she knows that YP worries about her but she is still stubborn to diving. only YP and her husband know about her illness, that is the same as making responsibility only to YP and Her husband.

see she is also selfish but that is not a problem she did not make ML and FL separated so it's okay RIGHT??

Does this kind of love YP has for SD still exists in this world? He’s been loving her from a distance for those…
doest it even exist in the first place?

It's just my opinion, YP dad have full rights to get angry on SD family. But feel the love of his life gone due…
it's understandable that YP dad was angry on SD family and he doesn't want to interact with them. he is unlucky that his son has a relationship with SD if not he probably only has eternal cold war.

but YP dad needs help from someone he can trust and not from or related to SD family or a professional. he alone, shallow the pain and wear it in his slave its miracle actually that he did not wreak havoc before. YP is very close to SD family doesn't help at all.

I did not agree with someone who said they would slap or kill YP dad because of the main lead, they did not think about YP dad at all. but what he did was not something to be proud of.

Romance dramas with over 12 episodes are tough to finish. It's a struggle not to drop them midway. 😞
yeah its very rare romance drama can be interesting over 12/14 episode.

Just started the drama ? if yes keep watching i think your opinion might change.
if you watch early episode you should know that he is the only guy who doesn't hurt after she love/like him. what is dignity when her option is limited and she love him. he doesn't like her in his mouth but he care about her so i would say that there is a chance she can melt his heart.

Yeah! YongPil dad’s reaction is definitely one that based on reality! Grudges takes a long time to overcome…
yong pil character is too good, I even speculated that he more closer to Yo Mija than his own mother or he is super clearheaded and always views problems using 3rd POV.

it's not his ego it's his pain of losing her wife and not getting shorted yet. he even wants to follow his wife shortly after that how deep his pain losing her wife not just drowning in alcohol.

Title Welcome to Samdal-ri Spoiler
This episode had me alllll in my feelings. I felt for Mi Ja because the pain of losing a best friend, especially…
in this episode finaly some balance return.

before this episode we know that sam dal like yong pil but how deep after they apart we don't know and some of us fell unfair to yong pil when he not even try to move on but she has boyfriend but now we know.

yong pil father look like someone who just want to hate sam dal family before but know that he love her wife sooo much that he want to follow her shortly after. if there is no son i bet he will try it again to meet his wife.

what authority did she have to do that? because ML's dad beg her daughter to stay away from them? he did not slap…
yes, he needs therapy, he needs help to let his wife go but he is not a villain. he needs to be confronted but not slapped. Compared to ML's love for FL, ML's father doesn't want to get involved with the Samdal family is easier to understand.

I know that Yong Pil loves Samdal but why? Since childhood he always followed her, cared about her when she cried/sad, and even tied her shoes. other than their family having a close relationship I don't understand why he loves her very much. She is not older for him to look up to, she did not help her from being bullied/dog like a hero, and she did not elevate his loneliness because he can have a friend without her. I don't understand the charm that makes him smitten to death for her. Their relationship is almost one-sided, almost always he cares about her, he makes her cheer up, he cares about her family, etc and she cries and drunk(except when his mother dies).

I even understand why her sister likes her timid ex-husband because he cares about her and is even willing to let his inheritance go and his bad family for her but I don't understand what FL charm that made him did not even try to move on for 8 years.

I know that FL's mother has survivor guilt but ML's father is also not as bad as people say.

he hated her entire family but what did he really do? did he attack them? humiliated them? or made the neighborhood think that they killed his wife? he did not. you can slap people when they attack you or make you lose your career etc but you can't slap people just because they don't like you.

what I mean by authority does not mean that ML's father is superior but who is and for what reason does FL's Mother slap ML's father back of the head? they are two growing adult.

ML did not try to move on when FL in Seoul had a boyfriend, but ML's Father still doesn't like someone who indirectly made his wife die is too long?
