The drama is far different than novel,The drama is way better than novel and if they had improved further,it would have become even more better but we got more episodes to watch,let's wait and see.

Thank god ,there is Shen che who is reminding us that there is Shen run otherwise The drama would have forgotten about him😂😂😂,We have known nothing about his childhood,his family,and other 72 members who were killed,Shen run's father military power,why he or his family was targeted,Shen run and his brother struggles,them growing in their military ranks,their relationship with emperor,Their investigating methods etc rather than woman fighting between main wife and concubines,it's necessary but I think they are taking it more seriously meanwhile totally neglecting Shen run's story(upto this episode),It would have made the drama more exciting with their arrogant personality,fights,aura farming etc.We are already at ep 17 ,I hope they don't rush story towards the end.

Honestly speaking the drama is almost like a bl,The only difference between BL and this drama is they would have share a kiss in BL but in this drama they haven't,They made a moments more romantic between male leads than having a romantic moment between Ml and FL.They want to pull both casual audience and bl audience,They put a romance tag but didn't show us any romantic moment of FL and ml.They give a one kiss scene and that's it, pio has his own suffering,he barely cares about jae in ,FL doesn't even have a sufficient screentime

I have not watched Zhou ye dramas before,I don't know her or her personal affairs and I don't care about it,drama is for entertainment purpose only,They are actors (Zhou ye or zhao liying) and they are just doing their best to give quality dramas to viewers,what they do in their personal time it doesn't matter to me.The only thing concerning is whether the drama is good or not,worth watching or not.

How can you say there is no need to connect their backstory,ML's father left ml to stay with FL's mother.Both FL and ml's 73 Shen family got killed at the same time,there may be some connection with fl's mother and ML's father or it has something to do with corruption.we have just watched 6 episodes and there is lots more to come,I have read the novel but it seems they have changed a plot a lot,they have made drama more interesting.
