I’m not into JZ at all and love romance genre as well . But I run of out of compelling drama🤷♀️ and…
I just finished a romcom and can’t seem to move on. Every romantic drama after paled in comparison so here I am. Mysterious Lotus Casebook is the only drama that managed to keep me interested lol
I am SO surprised how much I’m enjoying this because I’m not the biggest fan of Cheng Yi + Joseph Zhen. I normally go for romance but this drama is SO entertaining! I especially love the bromance and the humor. The story is getting so interesting too after all the back stories. Can’t wait for more!
Hi all!Question: Towards the end of ep 25 during the voice-over, the FL says "Our story began when he was 22",…
Hi! she didn’t have an immediate crush on him at 14 (she thought he was handsome and wanted him as a brother instead of Sang Yan). They showed that scene because it was her first time meeting him. Sang Zhi fell for him when she was 17, when she admitted to herself and put her secret in a star. She made the meeting happen because she wanted to see him again - he was super nice to her, handsome and helps her out a tough spot - I would too.
I know what you mean and it did raise my eyebrows a bit. This is what I think and I could be wrong - they paid…
Oh yes! forgot to mention he rents! that’s why SZ told him to save money to buy a house. ¥100,000 yuan a year is around $14,000 USD so for me, I think it’s still relatively cheap. Maybe I’m conditioned with the cost of US healthcare… because in US, the cost of staying in a nursing home is around $170,000 USD a year 😩 (¥1,222,963)
What I find a bit icky is the fact that JX is just too rich for his age and circumstances. He is supposed to be…
I know what you mean and it did raise my eyebrows a bit. This is what I think and I could be wrong - they paid off a chunk of the compensation for Jiang Ying’s family with the money they got from selling the house (they mentioned that). Also, medical expense in China is not as high compared to where I’m from (US). Case in point - I had to go to the doctor (and he was considered very expensive according to my family) while I visited China once and It cost me around 3k usd. My friend also had to go to urgent care for something similar in US, it cost her 25,000 USD. In the novel it did say he was doing very well at his job so maybe that’s what’s going on with that situation lol. Also, DJX doesn’t hang out, doesn’t drink, never had a gf and all he ever did was work overtime haha. Those things cost a lot of money!
Shes so wishy washy sometimes I don't like it. Among the four college friends the best IMO is the skateboard gamer…
It’s wonderful that you are straightforward and don’t jump to conclusions, those are good traits to have. However, not everyone have the same traits, how boring would the world be if everyone are the same. When you’re older and more exposed you’ll find that many people have different personalities, mindsets and backgrounds.
She was told that he had a girlfriend so she flew to Yihe to confirm. At the airport, he scolded her for dating when she was so young in front of that lady. Her coming to the conclusion that she’s his gf was not out of the left field I also think a lot “misunderstandings” in dramas are ridiculous and doesn’t make sense but this is not one of those cases.
Did anyone else feel like the "villain FL" story fell short? I thought it was weird that she just randomly stopped…
DJX never put his foot down before no matter what she did due to his guilt. She’s much worst in the novel and he just tolerated her. When he confronted her about SZ, it was the first time he said he will get the police involved so she knew it was his bottom line. Thankfully she came to her senses.
rank dropped another 1 point and so did the ratings......WHYYYYY???
I think it’s normal!
When the ratings are this high, people are curious and will check it out. That means even people that normally don’t go for this genre. Some prefer angsty, complicated, drawn out stories so the simplicity of HL is just not their cup of tea.
Then, there are people that created an MDL account just to give this drama a bad review or rating it a 1 after watching a few episodes (or so they say). I personally don’t understand why anyone would go through all that trouble but whatever makes them happy.
At the end of the day, this show touched a lot of audiences and that’s all that counts.
I literally dropped 4 dramas because I couldn’t get into it - I can’t move on! Longest Promise, Destined,…
I personally never got the hype. I guess he did pretty good in Oath of Love but I’m not sure because I dropped it. Couldn’t stand the FL. Other than that, I don’t think I’ve watched any dramas with him in it.
Because it's irrelevant, the strong chemistry between Lusi & Zheyuan will overshadow the other party... both Zhi…
I wouldn’t call it a love triangle because they were not contenders and there were no issues at all. During my dating years guys would ask me out at the same time (and I would decline). I would never call it love triangles or pentagon because it’s not even a big deal.
