Yes, He Zong Wei will be continously promoted in Court of Judicial Review/Court of Justice later in the story and used by the Emperor to be a counter balance of power to Fan Xian in Qing kingdom; just like how the Emperor used 2nd Prince to create rivalry and to groom Crown Prince.

Based on the novel, Fan Xian did enter and pray at Fan clan ancestry home, which has infuriated the Emperor.

In early episodes the Emperor asked Fan Jian whether Fan Xian has entered Fan clan ancestry home to pray ( implying officially adding Fan Xian, the illegitimate son as heir to Fan family). Fan Jian answered no, giving some relief to the Emperor.

After married into Fan family, she takes care of the whole Fan clan including FSZ and Ruo Ruo well being.

She is also the key person who knows what to do and how to escape capital if anything goes wrong with Fan Xian.

Based on the novel's timeline, the next major battle scene that nearly killed Fan Xian in season 2 ( not fake death like in season 1) is coming and related to an assassination attempt in a temple.

If you noticed in other Cdramas, actors playing Fan Jian and Madam Fan were also made couples and used their real voices..Lol

It was awkward that in S1 all Fan family members can use their original voices except Madam Fan's, who was dubbed.👨‍👩‍👧‍👦

I think we all enjoy watching the "normal" chaotic happenings brought by 2 Fan brothers in Fan manor in S1 and glad that in S2 the screening time of the them 😅😅😅

I find Raymond Lam's character in the drama has a big flaw, which is flirtatious and not loyal to Charmaine's character in the drama when they were both younger and just started dating.

1) Raymond is no longer the main or equal lead actor who can command for scripts to be changed to protect his image.

2) Raymond as ML no longer has any scenes that show he save FL as the hero of the day.

Hins Law, on the other hand, has played a bad boy 3rd generation rich heir in the waiting, rivalling Charmaine's character and played well. His focus is to be bad all the way and not hokding back, while Raymond Lam was supposed to play a good character with flaws which cause Raymond not able to perform well.

It is better Li Qin than Li Gengxi/actress played Jiang Ni as FL in Sword Snow Stride!!

Li Qin is Zhang Ruoyan's wife good friend. So the casting of FL can be quite complicated....... lol

I love She and Her Perfect Husband with him and Yang Mi despite low MDL ratings. I was surprised that FL was not overly painted the saviour and worthy one rather ML and FL had balanced roles in trying to make the relationship work despite it being fake in the first place. 😍

Wonderland was ok. Just that I normally have higher expectations for costume dramas especially those with top billing FL and ML.

Modern dramas that emphasize relationships and family like this drama, Best Choice Ever, are quicker to know if you want to invest your time to keep watching or otherwise. This one I sure will go on till the end albeit lower than expected MDL ratings.

This is the best Xu Kai's drama this year so far. The earlier 2 costume drama didn't work me. Who would have thought he can pair well with Yang Zi! 🤗🤗🤗
