Today just started watching Cheng Yi's Mysterious Lotus Casebook without much expectation ( same goes for Yangzi's Lost You Forever).

Must say that Immortal Samsara duo not just have strong star power individually but also have good eyes in selecting good scripts and production drama. I wont say MLC is better than LYF or vice versa but so glad these 2 fantastic dramas are keeping us hype up and happy. Fingers crossed they are good till final episodes.

Joseph Zhang can still play the "kid" as he still very young and work well with Chengyi.

Actually it is normal during older days for cousins to marry PROVIDED they dont share the same surname.

For royal families, same surname cousins are arranged for marriage to preserve royal bloodlines. Otherwise how so many of those mad king and queen stories come from Asia and Europe.
