Is it better to watch this drama before the donghua so not to have too much expectations?

Agree. I can only name Blood of Youth for both donghua and drama having almost equal quality.

His acting is ok but he whispers and mumbles a lot. Without subtitles, can't really hear his lines. 😅

Oh wow...this drama passed censorship and airing CCTV concurrently. Noticed some dialogues are rerecorded/revised. 1970s was a culturally sensitive era and requires careful depiction and i hope the drama can successfully air all full episodes!!! 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

Ju Jingyi, Liang Jie and Xing Fei, who are the type of FLs performing consistently well in either idol dramas and non idol dramas.

Despite a lot criticisms about Ju Jinyi's no acting progress but she could partner with any male leads well generally.

I must say I miss watching her and her 3x timed partner, Zhang Zhehan on screen together 👩🏻‍❤️‍💋‍👨🏻👩🏻‍❤️‍💋‍👨🏻👩🏻‍❤️‍💋‍👨🏻
