I must praise the action choreography a bit here. Some martial moves, turns , flying kicks and flippings by Yangmi (or stunt double 😂😂😂 ) when fighting enemies in Lanzi town seem new, innovative and interesting!

Lol.... i suspect one way love only, General Tang secretly loves Tilan but she treats him as older brother.

Continous unfair treatment to Tilan will motivate him to rebel.

Anyway, can't wait for 8pm to watch 2 more new episodes!!

There was a reason why in early episodes that HS keep saying and explaining to shifu and Zhouying older brother that she and shifu age gap is not big like father daughter and would be even more negligible when she gets older.

Yes! 2nd leads and 3rd leads CPs or couplings are as interesting or sometimes more interesting than the main leads.

Its a well balanced story and not like some dramas creating 2nd/3rd couplings as water filling episodes without any convincing storylines

We need to look at the bigger picture here. WC was never known for his acting chops, well he can act well enough (subjective) and looks good for wuxia/xianxia as he can fight and ride horses well, then good enough. Am just thankful the drama can air as scheduled.

In last year's Tencent promo events, he teased Yangmi that he finally felt like a true ML in Cdramaland as finally Yangmi picked him as her ML. They both appear to have more fun and chemistry off camera as WC can joke and laugh unrestrained unlike Lord Qinghai.

In ep. 17 or 18 that 4th prince was talking to his eagle that it needs to grow bigger and stronger before it can do something great. I guess he was subconsciously reminding himself.

I sensed Tilan could be an unwilling ally to General Tang and even 4th Prince because she appears to struggling to survive in the palace rather than planning or scheming up to something sinister unlike her younger maid who always seems to be manipulating her master to get close to the mad emperor.

You are right! I felt for the first time Xu Kaicheng has proven he can act in different characters. I must say he has grown alot here compared to the 1st drama i took notice of him in an insignificant role in Moonshine and Valentine opposite Victoria Song.

XKC is luckier than Xing Zhaolin, who didnt get the opportunity to play more challenging roles but still playing the stereotypical rich/bratty/spoiled ML.

The kiss scene was not as memorable as the scene where to FL hugged and how ML can showcase his fair, hairless and open chest 😜😊🤣

Hypothetically if this is a Jdrama for mature love stories, the ML and FL would've been scripted to have slept with each other to further dramatize the situation.

Given that this is a Cdrama, it will not pass censorship if too immoral either Lawyer Fan or You You (FL) were scripted to have cheated explicitly in the drama. Areas not explained to what extent Lawyer Fan has cheated in detail is understandable.

Tbh, unlike the FL who is considered lucky to have ML helping her through this crossroad including a potential new bf, what about most women who are in unhappy long term relationships in real life? So the choice is to marry a man or stay married to him who you may no longer love ( not necessarily bcos of cheating) or break up and return to singlehood? Women above 30 in general have difficulty in finding new bf unlike FL who has a good looking ML waiting for her.......LOL

I am keen to continue watching this drama, as its not too overbearing on the cheating elements compared to other dramas with similar storylines i have watched.

Oh didn't know HunanTv/Mango TV are the chief tv station and platform for Oath of Love, instead of Tencent/wetv. I think it was held back bcos Yangzi and Sean Xiaozhan are loulang or traffic stars, who are still under heavy scrutiny now just bcos they have huge fan base.

I hope this cdrama gets the recognition and good ratings due to quality.

WC was rumoured to have his pay cut 70% for this drama per new regulator rules as actors pay cannot be proportionately higher than production costs.

This cdrama is one of the most anticipated Tencent dramas this year and thankfully no scandal, bad reps or target of rumour mongering problems for the main leads- YM and WC 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Only You Are My Glory and Novaland: Pearl Eclipse managed to release as scheduled😅😅😅. The other 2 - Golden Hairpin and The Oath of Love did not make it 🙄🙄🙄
