As much as I like the FL character but her dressing is not realistic for a pheasant fishing village girl. She dresses like a rich merchant's daughter. Not her fault but the production crew should be responsible. She is so pretty and cute, therefore dressing her up in normal clothes will not make her ugly.

The first 10 episodes were predictable due to the spoliers in the trailer then it gets more and more interesting and addictive! ! 😀😁🤐

Even the screen time of non ML and FL were also important to learn about the story. So there's very little unnecessary scenes when you watch 2nd half.

Its unverified whether Chen Ruo Yun is really her biological niece. I suspect Cheng Xi just picked her up from the street and trained her to one day use her for love trap to Qi Yan.

My guess is the same as yours @Ruffles Right Minister is Prince Guang. He changed his mind on dethroning Qi Yan maybe bcos he likes Chen Ruo yun and wants to leave the palace with her.

I am surprised how good and addictive the drama is. The casting choice is also suitable and although the CP vibe btw Bai Lu and Allen Ren is slow but sure is growing 😍😍😍 I like how Shiyi looks up to her Mentor filled with respect and love.
