Yes, idols are always about popularity based on looks, style and wealth (agency's backing), less about talents. Nobody can win all the time but JJY's dramas are mostly popular, no matter how good or bad they are.

True! Sometimes it comes to an unbearable number of times. The most partnered couple that i can think of are :-

1. Vengo Gao and Dilireba- min. 3 times

2. Zhang binbin and Dilireba- min 4 times

3. Xing Zhaolin and Liang Jie - 4 times.

Exception to repetition is Bai Lu and Xu Kai as their chemistry is good and they play modern/ Republican/costume roles very convincing and well.

Ju jinyi and Zhang Zehan are also very popular but unfortunately they will not be partners in dramas again.

I watched alot of Cheng Yi and Xu Kai costume dramas but not all are finished.

Oh wow! I noticed that too. Jessie Zhang must've put in alot of $$$ and effort but it turned out disastrous. I couldn't continue after ep.3. She was watchable in Love and Destiny.

If she had made it a serious drama, it could've been better but maybe she wants to attract younger audience or wants to be romcom actress. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Me too. In ep. 9 the flying kites scene, Ha Ram's eyes totally follow Cheon Gi's movements like he was not blind but just visually impaired.
