You knew well how dramas adapted from novels are never 100% the same. Mainly bcs of censorship. The animation…
The funny thing is you WERE ALREADY DISAPPOINTED AND DISSATISFIED with drama Su Mo yet still watch it. You KNEW the censorship plays a HUGE role in drama to be able to receive permission to be produced and air. The rules are getting stricter and it caused hundreds of dramas being so far from the original source. The victim is always historical dramas. You absolutely KNEW this. So why attacking the actors and NOT the producers, directors, script writers and casting managers? They are the one who pick the cast and make the story. Go yell at them. Tell them to break the censorship so next time they can make a drama 1000% the same with the novel.

Also being skinny isn't unhealthy, but your mindset of calling people with muscles as fat and saying the skinnier the better is wrong. Those asian celebrities want to eat everything they want, but they can't bcs netizens and their agencies want them to starve themselves and only eat 1 plate of salad everyday. Even if they are already underweight, people still call them fat. We're not defending celebrities which you call fat as healthy, we want to change netizens mindset to be healthy. So there won't be any more celebrities become the victims of cyber bullying, suffer from mental health bcs people keep telling them they are not good enough and commit suicide. An example, Michelle Chen was cyber bullied, but Chen Xiao was there for her so she survived and live a happy life. You never suffered losing your favorite artist from cyber bullying I guess? Feel worried sick whether they will survive and how long until you can see them again? Feel the regret for not saying good things to help them survive? Or do you actually want to experience it?

Seungha lives with his parents, it's bc of his home situation that he uses the public laundry.
That is one weird bedroom then. Super small with a closet made for kids. Also how his brother told Seungha to go home bcs their mom misses him is weird. And who bullies him with those noodles?

Also they COMPLETELY changes who Su Mo rlly is. Not the worst OOC compare to douluo dalu BUT... R U KIDDING ME??…
You knew well how dramas adapted from novels are never 100% the same. Mainly bcs of censorship. The animation can follow the novel 100%, but that will never happen for drama. You saw the poster and watched the DRAMA trailer and knew how Su Mo in the DRAMA looks like. You knew you were ALREADY disappointed but you still watch it. That is one weird way to torture yourself.

Also, calling a healthy man with muscles as fat? Yifeng's face is wide? Think about this. Not everyone in this world has face as small as cd plate. Fat? Do you wish for all celebrities to eat half portion of apple a day as their meal just bcs people call them fat? People like you are the ones who caused celebrities to lose confidence, have mental issues, and eventually commit suicide. Imagine if your favorite celebrity becomes the victim bcs of these ridiculous judgments planted in their minds. As a kpop and jpop fan, I experienced it four times. Do you want to experience it too?

I'm not sure, I think they can change gender, but the ML can't change. When he went into the transformation pool…
The reason he didn't get any effect after jumping to the reincarnation pool is bcs of the dragon seal he has on his back. The genderless seal is on his forehead. So if a merfolk doesn't have his seal anymore it means he already fallen for someone.

What's wrong with ya'll calling Li Yifeng fat.... Go get your eyes fixed.
It's not us, it's the chinese people on douban who try to badmouth him. It happened to William Chen and Xu Kai too.

Why stop? if you like this drama don't stop just bcs the novel ended like that. They might changed the ending bcs not all dramas follow the novels. Take NPE for example. They changed the plot, characters and the ending. This drama already changed some parts from the novel.

I even remember the way they use to consider a girl is pretty is if you grab her ankle and it fits your hand. Also in ancient time, they forced the girls to wear things (I forgot the name) to make the ankles small 😭 this is also the reason I prefer watching historical dramas bcs they wear clothes that cover their skinny bodies, especially legs and arms.

for those who watched episode 5, can you explain to me what happened? FL lead jump down, a power ring saved her.…
Zhen Lan used his power to fight the enemy but lost. His power is sealed and he lost his ring as well. The ice place is called Wu Se city (colorless city) which was opened by 6 lords of Kong Sang. However the price for this is they lost half of their spiritual powers so they can't be under direct sunlight. Basically they are spirit. In my own knowledge after watching xianxia and xuanhuan, people who learn spiritual/magical martial arts are close to immortal. They age slowly and live longer than normal humans. This is a different kind of martial arts where they train their inner aura to make their body stronger like weapon. Spiritual martial arts allow you to perform magic, any kind. And for that goddess said she can't intervene with lives it's an absolute rule for gods. Gods are not allow to change humans live. If you watched other xianxia and xuanhuan, you must noticed this. If a god or demon is involved with humans and change their destiny, it's not without a cost. That's why they mustn't get too close to humans, ie: live together (bcs they will absorb that human's life energy).

Seriously? Now Xu Kai and Yifeng are called fat too? During NPE it was William who became the victim. Is having muscles means you're fat?? Having muscles mean they are healthy, care for health and appearance. As if it's not enough for the girls to be the skinniest of all girls in the world. Some people train their body bcs they initially had weak body, especially since they have to do some martial arts and go through tough schedules.

The editing of the first 5 eps are really sloppy and ridiculous, but it's getting better from ep 6 onwards. If you want a complete story, you should watch the animation version too. Season 1 have 4 eps and fully subbed.

Really? i didn't know. Perhaps bcs I'm used to his yellow icon so I tend to skip through his comments. Some people knew about him while other didn't I guess so they attacked him back without knowing that's what he wanted. He's doing his full time job: to troll every ongoing drama šŸ™„ if his account got deleted I believe he will be back with a new account.

So is no one in this drama a normal human being? I can get why the merman can live over 100 years without aging…
Just like the others said the 6 lords used half of their spiritual powers to open Wu Se city so they are basically spirits. For the senior brother, I think bcs he (and the FL) learned spiritual power, he is above normal human. I believe you watched other xianxia or xuanhuan might know some spiritual sects like Kunlun. They aged slowly and they live longer than normal human. Considering this is a xuanhuan where magical powers and creatures exist it's not weird if the they live really long.

If you're still unsure perhaps you should wait until it's over and binge watch it 😊 but the story does get better with characters development especially the leads.

Bcs before the jump, she was unhappy, lived a boring lifeless life and learned etiquette every day, not allowed to speak her minds and must stay pure until her marriage. Now she's actually free from it. She can do what she wants, protect the people and go outside.

I don't mind if they watch 3 eps and leave if it doesn't suit their taste bcs that's what I do too. However you must have noticed that they just have to mention other drama and expected Twin Cities to be that drama. I experienced this on NPE too. I wrote about this comparison on my comment way below that it's pointless comparing apple and orange. Just bcs Yuqi is in it they expected to see AoL as if she only acted in one drama. Just like when they see Yang Mi they expected to see TMOPB. Then bcs they don't like it, they compare the characters between A and B. Like, why? Those are different dramas with different characters and different stories. That's why I said it on my first reply to you which you copy pasted. RBY was much better bcs people discussed about the stories and the characters. oh and I don't care about the rating in MDL though. I just don't like when people compare. And p.s you know a troll named jupiter rules? That troll has been bashing every ongoing drama to get attention with the exact same comments šŸ¤¦ā€ā™€ļø that troll is seriously the funniest. He hates the dramas and the actors but he keeps on showing every day šŸ˜‚ that means he actually loves watching those dramas.

Personally I don't care about the rating in MDL. What I don't like is when people bashing and comparing this to other drama wishing Twin Cities to be that drama, even mocking the actors without trying to understand the characters. I mentioned it on my comment way below that what's the point comparing apple and orange? I experienced this too on NPE during its airing šŸ™„ it's tiring, not about the rating.
