Wu Huan is cute, obedient, loyal and selfless. He deserves to be loved 😭

As a character, Shiyin is more complex than Shao Xue. Shiyin is easy to be manipulated. She brainwashed herself since she moved to big city. She admitted she helped Wu Huan on red carpet event was to make people think she's nice. She knew she's pretty and popular, and she wants to keep being the perfect city girl. And it seems my guess is right, Shiyin judges people based on their looks. She said Wu Huan is fat and ugly, she doesn't like him following her, while Shao Xue is followed by 2 handsome and smart boys. I hope she gets out of her delusional bubble and sees who truly care for her.

Mr. Sun and Mr. Luo are so cute! They childishly argue who is younger or trendier 😂
Even the uncle from grocery/convenience store is cute.
Shao Xue's dad is also amazing. He acts as the mediator/interpreter of his wife and daughter 👍🏻 this family is really something.
Sunian's mom is also cute. Perhaps she's the only parent who knows Sunian likes Shao Xue. The other parents are like "they're still kids".

I'm really sorry! I was mistaken! Apparently Sunian is 3rd grade, Shao Xue said it. However basically only Shao Xue calls him "ge". Zhang Qi only once in a while, and the others call him by name.

The second male indeed has a secret crush on female lead, but he keeps it secret, maybe like forever? Bcs both leads love each other and the second male knows it well so he won't intervene. He doesn't have the courage to confess either. Besides, the 3 of them are besties since elementary.

The parents and elders are lovely. Each family has their own color. And most importantly, there's no violence, no belittling, no abuse 👍🏻 it's a family drama indeed.

Me too! I was so naughty, so active. My mom kept telling me to close my legs when I sit, walk with straight back, and stop climbing the trees and the roof 😂 but unlike my childhood years, my high school years were my darkest era 😭 that's why I'm really jealous of Shao Xue.

I thought bcs Wu Huan is fat and ugly and he keeps coming to her? Shiyin is the type that judges people based on their looks. Or perhaps when they were kids, he made mistakes to Shiyin that made her embarrassed. At least that's what I thought.

I think they are the same age. When they were in fifth grade, Shao Xue said she won't call Sunian "ge" anymore bcs he failed his exams. She also said whomever gets high grades or smart between the boys will be called "ge".

I finished watching this drama in 4 days even after skipping some scenes. I love zombie apocalypse theme so I decided to watch this. It was good, but the writing is weak and average. I don't have any attachment to the leads nor the second leads nor any. I really hate the pink bitch, the cockroach, and the cursing machine. The characters that I like more: Gyeongsu, Junyoung and the archers. I always fond of characters who use bow and arrows, bowgun, crossbows 👍🏻

1. This drama could be over in 8 or 10 eps, but since korean loves melodrama 🙄 too many boring and lovey dovey scenes in every eps, like do you really have time for that? this drama is more of a teen romance horror drama with open ending.
2. They talked about being dehydrated and so on, but they look so fine, healthy and sane after 3 days without food nor water 🤷‍♀️
3. Is it really necessary for that cockroach to get everything he wanted? I understand that humans are more dangerous that zombies, but that cockroach is more like the lead. It's too much.
4. What's the point of that bullied hambie if she just wandered around like a dumb? How come she and that cockroach didn't meet even though they patrolled around the school? What a waste of potential story.
5. What's the point of that youtuber? He's wasting screentime and useless.
6. I thought the mad scientist became a hambie bcs he acted like normal? Where did he go after that?
7. It would be nice to show the police and his silly company after the quarantine is over. I'm curious about the conversation they would have. The police would take those 2 kids, but what about the dumb and dumber?
8. Where did Cheongsan's father go??
9. What happened to the couple who got into car accident?
10. How did that newborn baby alive without milk?

These are my own sentiment:
1. Gosh, I can't stand Onjo. I don't know if it's bcs of her character, but she has this please-pity-me eyes all the time. Thanks to that I couldn't connect with her.
2. Cheongsan is a good boy, but he's got the hero sickness, stubborn and reckless. Apart from that, he sure has the agility.
3. Suhyeok, another hero wannabe for the princess.
4. Squid Game is like that, this too, I can't stand people who curse as easy as breathing, especially that cursing machine (and the bullies). I can see why she doesn't have friends bcs she curses and belittles people as if she's above them all. Why did she survive and not Woojin?
5. Strangely I teared up when Woojin and Junyoung. The short but sincere sacrifice hit me hard 😭 while for Cheongsan and his mom, and Onjo's dad, it was expected from the start.

Despite all that this drama ended well, there is no need to elongate it and make new season.

I love this drama. It's heartwarming. Not only the kids, the elders are adorable too. I like it more than Reply 1988 bcs it doesn't have annoying characters.

Shao Xue is cute, likeable, naughty, spoiled, bright, loyal and friendly. She respects the elders which is why they adore her. She's curious about everything and has a big dream. She represents teenage girls: curious, makes troubles, knows her fault, regrets it. She also loves helping people.

Some said Shao Xue is naive. As a teenager, there are millions of things that she doesn't know. That's why she's always curious. She wants to see the world to satisfy her curiousity.
Some said she over acts or walks in weird way. She's boyish. Her parents didn't put her in etiquette class nor she was never interested in girl things like Shiyin. Even Zhang Qi treated her as a boy.

I can see why Yuqi loves acting as Shao Xue. She's a sunshine and has dozens of expressions 😆 she makes people happy. The type of youngster that will make the elders happy. She also has many friends that always stay by her side. I'm jealous of her. If I was bright and active like her, or if I had a bff like Shao Xue, my dark high school life would be brighter 😭

This drama reminds me of Reply 1988. The parents are friends, their kids are friends, and each family have different dynamics.

Also I just realized starting next week it will air 3 days a week 😥

I know what you mean. I also hate when men just have to choke the girls to dominate them. However, NPE has more than 3 times of choking, even rape scene as "punishment", and it's on Tencent 😅

I think it's bcs of SARS and the death of their loved ones. On the first trailer released last year, there are a lot of sad scenes showing hospital too. Also bcs they graduate from school, they have to go separate ways. So perhaps only the second couple who starts dating before graduation, I don't know though.

It's about SARS. The story is supposed to start around 90s then they go their own way until they meet again years later in modern time. The shooting itself was done in 2019.

William did get bashed for being bulky during NPE since he showed his body several times. But of course it's not his fans who don't like it. It's some netizen who can't help but mocking him for every little thing. I'm actually happy that now more actors have muscles. Even some actress like Zhao Liying working out althoughtheir overall figures are the same.

Yes I didn't know that until I read it 😂 must be hard for him to keep torturing himself bcs he can't stop watching this drama 😂
