She was shocked bcs they found out Haishi is a woman and the emperor took her as a consort 😅 she might think the emperor fell for Haishi that's why she didn't expect the night Haishi was crowned as consort, the emperor came to Yu'an palace instead. Yes it's really interesting how XuLan cp actually became the most romantic couple who shares everything considering how it started and how they didn't express their heart.

Imo, Victoria doesn't suit historical fantasy. Her acting isn't that good too. Almost all her dramas fell flat. Either bcs she got crappy script or crappy character 🤦‍♀️ her new drama Luoyang might be her breakthrough.

I did! I was so eager to watch it for Victoria, but the story is awful, the cg is crappy, the male lead is dumb and barbaric, there's no actual plot till the end, the couples are crumbling, too many unnecessary deaths, dumb ending as well. The only thing that kept me watching is the second couple which has beautiful and heartbreaking story. The good things about this drama: beautiful ost and costumes. That's all. 😑

If it's sad ending, I'll go back to watch ep 45-46 and erase ep 48 from my memory 🤣

Tonight we will see the last trailers. Trailers can be deceiving, but we can see a glimpse from it. Perhaps Jichang escaped and takes revenge. I should watch ep 47-48 trailers, then watch ep 45-46, then stop there, just in case 😂

It reminds me of A Lifetime Love where the girl married to male B although she loves male A. They got married for political. Male B loves the girl and lets her do anything and promised to let her go once he becomes the king, but the girl secretly meeting male A, consummated and eventually has baby. Male B was shocked bcs they never consummate and didn't know she would do it behind him. She betrayed male B, but he wasn't angry. He keeps protecting her, even loves her daughter and raises her as his own when the girl left male B and her own daughter. I hated what she did bcs male B is a good guy. Here, it's really similar, but the emperor and Haishi don't love each other, only ruler-subject relationship. So I think it's o...kay? 😅

Yes. What Haishi went through in the novel were given to Tilan. Who wants to see the emperor being a jerk till the end, even r-a-p-e-s his bff's woman and has baby with him? The same bff who has been protecting him and suffered the injuries and wounds.

If you could hold on until ep 21 then keep going. The flow got slower in the middle, and it's boring, but the fillers gave some characters development too. if you like this kind of drama or any of the main leads, don't stop watching.

The irony: she's the empress but she keeps seeing other man, while the emperor loves other woman 😂 can these two couples just leave the palace and live as commoners? 🙄

Anyway I do agree Xu Kaicheng and Chen Xiaoyun must do other romance drama. They have great chemistry and they match well off screen too.

Haishi's words are on point, but if I was the emperor I will announce to take Jianming and Haishi to custody and send those ministers to the front line, guarding each border pass as soldiers and they must leave the next morning. Of course it's a joke, but I will threaten them to shut their mouth.
