Agree! Perhaps the 2nd part writers hated the FL so they completely changed her personality. Cnetz all complained about the same thing. They feel bad for the actors, wasted by absurd script.

The writers made the FL into the chess piece instead of the chess player as she should, like in the novel. The chemistry and acting of both leads is so good, but the script ruined them.

This drama has 11 scriptwriters. The writer who wrote the first half is different with the latter half. That's why the latter half feels so ridiculously different: from FL's personality, ridiculous romance plots, amnesia, and so on.

Character I hate the most:
The feminine cousin.
Damn! This man played the creepy stalker in SSS and now he is the creepy feminine cousin! I hate him more than the actual villains.

The villains are not dangerous. They are either stubborn and delusional (MIL, Lady Yulou) or stubborn and idiot (Qiao leader and his butler Sebastian). They are nothing compared to the main couple, although some things are out of their control.

I like this drama, although it's not my fav, but I recommend it to those who like romance with great acting and chemistry. Plus beautiful setting.

Finally finished it after a long time. This drama is beautiful. Great acting, chemistry, cinematography, setting, hanfu. It's been a while since the last idol drama set around Han dynasty. I always think Han dynasty hanfu is sophisticated and elegant.

Both of the leads fell in love at first sight, but FL is softer towards him, treats him good with respect and admiration. While he keeps treating her hot and cold depending on his mood and situations.

The middle part the tension went down a lot. The drama focuses on the romance between the leads before entering to the last arc in the last 4 eps.

My complains:
1. What kind of idiot who fight enemies carrying someone twice his weight? Yes I understand his feelings, but it was unnecessary and reckless. Why not put him down somewhere so he could concentrate? It was a waste of a good person.
2. I thought there would be fierce battle with the big boss, but the big boss just sits there doing nothing. Perhaps bcos he is a coward and pathetic.
3. I thought the stern uncle (Bianzhou) would be a villain as well, but he barely appears and hasn't done any harm.

The official weibo has changed its layout. Could it be the prequel is coming soon? Rumor said it will air on july 30. Let's see...

I genuinely think they are not real fans. I myself is Zhao Liying fan. Those trolls just want to tarnish Zhao Liying or other actress's reputation. Just like how global fans hate Wu Jinyan or Yang Mi. Like honestly I never believe real fans would do something to bring negative image of their idols.

Dear, harem is very common in ancient era. The ML here is 30 y.o how can viewers expect him to be single? Moreover, those wives are spies sent by his political enemies and he knew it. They didn't enter his household bcos of love. Also, there is barely any interactions between him and his wives bcos he doesn't care about them.

Tbh there are other recent drama that also have harem but people barely said anything.

Tbh rather than him, there are other users who got on my nerves bcos they kept bullying Meng Ziyi and accusing her of having PS. They even repeated this discussions again for some time which is very disturbing. The same users also mocked Chen Yuqi for her eyes.

idk why those trolls keep appearing on a drama of the actress they hate just to mock them.

Personally even if the ML is my fav actor, if I hate the actress, I will never watch the drama nor even visit the page and leave dozens of comments to vent my hatred.
