The ending of ZhenZhang's story was rooted in a fairytale ending which makes the ending plot twist that thru were fictional characters, based on FangGao, more reasonable. The plot of the movie they were shooting was more gritty and realistic. Even though I was previously spoiled by the novel readers, the execution made the twist even more plausible. The time skips, the glamorous ending were all explained by that simple but world bending addition.
I've seen and read a lot of BL novels, but i think this is the first time I've seen a top request that the bottom gets out of bed (after a night of having Sex) to cook him food. Ewww. When he gave him that credit card and asked him to spend at will, i thought he'd say some romantic shit like "What's mine is yours" instead he goes with "What's yours is mine". That poor boy barely has anything to his name, tf.
Men like Lüqing give me the ick;he shows zero affections, throws money to cover up problems, asks for sex whenever not minding the partners reaction or objection, tosses his partner out and reels him in on a whim. He must have won the lottery getting someone like Xiaofan who is a mindless service bot. Little wonder his relationship with Li Wenxi who had a mind of his own never worked out. At this point, I'm just going to ride this out till the end since it's just 3 episodes remaining. Their relationship is so yuck and there are barely any likeable characters left.
Something about that Zhili's tutor didn't sit right with me from the first time he appeared on the screen, and with every episode i dislike him more even though it seems he's on the emperor's side. His every action and inaction is so perfunctory and pretentious.
Leave Fan alone; he doesn't need your pity. He's perfectly capable of making his own decisions without needing…
Even a moth old infant has a stronger spine than Xiaofan. Ziyang was busy yapping about how Xiaofan would be trampled when he cuts off Luqing as if his entire affliation to the Bei family is not the reason why people are trampling on him, using him as a stepping board for their own desires.
And just like that, the small progress we got from yesterday's episode has been decimated. Even Ziyang that was basically the only likeable character has become incredibly annoying. I've been banking on those novel spoilers that Xiaofan would grow a pair, but this is becoming a very hard watch.
Spoiled brat? He spent his late childhood to early adulthood in a remote mountain with no familial or adult support. Yes he had money, but that doesn't make him even a bit spoiled. And you also called him a brat, looks like you're a Luxiao fan, because this is such an absurd take.
Changyang's family being his greatest opps, meanwhile his in-laws have fully adopted him and taking great care of him despite his currently tumultuous relationship with Qinglang
