100% agree with what you wrote. overall I enjoyed the drama and the crime plot was believable enough. I have to…
I agree with you. I also found the portrayal of fandom in the drama a bit too idealistic. As you said, the writers could have handled Se Na's character a little differently at the end, after she had said she loved La Ik as a person rather than an idol. We didn't get to see that dynamic in the final eps. I understand the writers wanted to show how Se Na accepted and supported La Ik's need to create and perform music, but it would have been nice if they could have done it a little differently. They could have just toned down the fangirl stuff . I think her accepting the tickets he offered to his concert would have been better than that whole competing for merch and tickets scenes.
So:It's been a while since I watched a Korean drama.I started watching them quite early (2010) and then somehow…
You make a good point about Se Na accepting and coming to love La Ik as a person, but then reverting to fangirl mode. I agree the writers could have handled things differently. I get that the writers wanted to show how Se Na understood and supported La Ik's need to create and perform music, but it would have been nice if they had done it a little differently.
I enjoyed the drama, and I truly appreciated that the final episode was totally devoted to wrapping up the loose ends and giving all characters closure and, for me, a satisfying ending. Many times in the K dramas, endings are rushed and unsatisfying. It was very nice to have a final episode that was able to take the time to conclude all the different plot threads and give each character some closure. I was glad to see the final episode also focus more on the relationship of FL and ML and give us some sweet interactions between them. The only scene that I didn't understand was Se Na waiting in line to buy tickets to the final concert. Like, what? Your boyfriend is the lead singer- I'm sure he would give you the best tickets, if not ask you to watch in the wings on stage. I guess the writers were trying to show FL was still a die-hard fangirl, but all I could think was, "Why isn't La Ik giving you a ticket? Why is he making you buy it yourself?" That scene did not make sense to me. Overall, it was an enjoyable drama and will be on my list of top dramas of 2026.
I don't understand what this is... why is there so much related content and why is it that for so many dramas,…
This is the term used by the original broadcast network of IQIYI. At IQIYI they have several anthology series and they put the dramas under the various series. So, this is "Heartbeat Theater Series" with the theme of romance. So each particular drama is an original content drama. The content is not related to the other dramas. It is just that the dramas all have the same theme of romance and are under the Heartbeat Theater Anthology Series name. If you go to IQIYI website, you can click on Heartbeat Theater and find all of the dramas in one place. This is why they are listed as "Related Content at MDL, because all of the dramas listed were designated as part of Heartbeat Theater by IQIYI. IQIYI also have "Light On Theater" anthology series that features mystery/thriller dramas.
i actually love this. does anyone have recs for similar dramas? anything that FEELS similar or where either the…
Imitation (2021) has similar vibe. Drama is also set in K-pop industry. ML is a superstar and there is a mystery surrounding one of his group members. FL is a rookie girl group member. https://kisskh.at/75831-imitation
Y'all I don't think Shu Lang is doing anything to "punish" Fan Xiao. I think he's genuinely became numb.…
I recommend Taiwan drama "See Your Love." It is so cute and sweet. It is a different type of story because one of the main lead characters is deaf. There's a mix of silly humor, heart, and spice. It's a true "healing" drama as both of the main lead characters have issues that they work through and resolve with the support of the other. It's just a real feel-good drama. If you decide to watch it, make sure to watch until the very end after the credits of Ep. 13 for the bonus scenes. It's available to watch at many sites. I saw it on Viki. https://kisskh.at/763415-see-your-love
Like someone else mentioned, the teasers showed them kissing and there's one scene that looks like it was more…
Thank you for the information. If they had a past romantic relationship, his words and behavior making more sense to me. *(Although I don't like the forced kiss trope, sigh)
Okay. Forgive me, but I am confused. The ML keeps saying things that hint he and FL were a romantic couple in the past, but it look to me like she just think of him as a younger brother with no romantic interest. So why the forced kiss in Ep. 3? Is the ML just have delusion? I know ML like FL from the beginning, but what about FL? Did they truly have a relationship in the past? Or is this a drama where ML have a crush since young, but the FL only like him when they meet again years later in present times?
Overall, it was an enjoyable drama and will be on my list of top dramas of 2026.
