As another commenter mentioned below, this show wanted to be a competitor for "Serious About Marriage/Merry Me in 100 Days" (2022). ( Which actually did have one of the couples get married) However, it failed utterly and simply became "Heart Signal 5," with the same crappy editing, crappy tropes, and the added bonus of having what was surely the most boring panel in all of K Dating Show history. They should have cut the panel and used that time for more footage of contestants interactions. Final Episode 16 was such a disappointment. I had hoped that since there really wasn't any mystery about who would choose whom for the final pairings, the final episode would focus more on showing us cute scenes with the 3 couples and updates on contestants and couples in current time, months after filming ended. To be honest, I was expecting this last episode to be more like an "After Pairing" /"After Signal" type episode. Instead, we got a rushed mess that ended abruptly. The person I feel most sorry for has to be Chang Hwan. The producers used and abused him. If they were not going to provide any truly viable potential marriage partners for him, they should never have cast him for the show. For his sake, I really wish that Heart Pairing could be like Heart Signal China where they let participants leave the show before the last episode if they want to go. It was terrible to watch him being so unhappy and yet forced to stay. I liked all of the participants- they seemed to be nice people. I hope everyone will be able to find their special someone and I wish them all the best. Unfortunately, once again the Korean version of the Heart Signal franchise is disappointing. Heart Signal China is a much more satisfying watch. My favorite for dating shows remains Heart Signal 6 China. ( and one of the couples on HS6 China just got engaged, so it's even more satisfying now ).
Why is the VIKI translation off for Ep 15? Archivist is the term that's been used all along and now, it's Record…
The translations at Viki are now a 2 step process for english translation and some other languages as well. When the episode is first uploaded, it comes with subtitles usually done by the content provider. After the episode is uploaded, the Viki team of volunteers works on the episode to edit and refine the subtitles to make them the high quality Viki subs we know. Because it is done by volunteers, it can take some time to edit episodes and make the changes. Record examiner has been the term used in the "pre-subs." Archivist is the term used by Viki Team for this drama. You watched the episode before the volunteers were finished with the editing. It can happen. Often the subs posted at upload can be inconsistent and then after the Viki volunteers edit them, things are consistent, but it can take some time because they are volunteers.
For myself, I have been a little disappointed in the translations using modern language and a few modern slang terms. When I watch historical -set dramas, I like for them to keep modern language/slang terms to a minimum. Usually, Viki volunteer team will get rid of the modern language terms but they not do it for this drama. That throws me off.. i specifically waited until episode was edited before I watched, but the modern terms were there, so now I don't bother to wait and just watch when I have the time. I still appreciate the volunteers' hard work, but I wish they could have edited out more of the modern terms.
No, it it not complete . The subbing is ongoing. The drama just premiered at Viki May 23, 2025. There will be 3 episodes a week. All episodes should be available around June 21, 2025.
Totally agree about CE, she is sweet, proactive and epoda in my eyes. I suspect her time abroad had an impact…
Yes, CE is the best! Love her! I don't know if Chan Hyeong is the right person for her. They seemed to have a connection, but now I have doubts, and he seems to be going after the new girl in the preview. I just hope that she will find a person who will love and cherish her as she deserves. Unfortunately, I don't think Heart Pairing will be that place. There have been rumors that the last few episodes will have surprises, so we will see.
I respect Ha Neul as well for giving it her all. At least she will have no regrets, thinking if only she had done…
Yes, she is. Frankly, it makes me wonder why she is on a dating show like this since I would think she probably has no trouble meeting men or getting dates in the real world. But I suppose that could be said of all the contestants on thus show.
He willingly let go of Jiwon there's nothing much we can say or do for him. She was willing to carryon with the…
I agree with you. The producers set him up for failure by making all the female contestants over 10 years younger than him. Why cast him if you aren't going to provide at least one person nearer his age?
You can watch Heart Signal 6 China with subs on Viki, WeTV, and YouTube. I'd watch on Viki if you can because Viki has the best subs.
