I may give Major a try but I am not in the mood to handle something lengthy. I usually suck at long shows. But I will certainly keep it in mind when I am looking for another good sports anime.
Yes, Donnie can be amazing like that but you're wrong about something Sandrose, it's true that Tony and Anthony aren't martial artists but Dennis To who was picked for the prequel "Ip Man The Legend is born" is in fact a martial artist and a champion with many medals so he kind of outclass Donnie in that side. But his specialty is Wushu not Wing Chan. At any rate, he did great with role. Also Tony did well but the problem with "The Grandmaster" that they didn't focus on Ip Man story and did some side plots instead. Also Anthony was perfect for "Ip Man The Final Fight", I don't think that even Donnie can do better than him in that kind of plot because that movie was focused on Ip Man twilight years and the near end of his life.
At any rate, I didn't like Donnie's two movies the best because of Martial Arts, I know that Donnie did well by learning and all but I also liked them because of the solid plot. If they gave those kind of plots to Dennis then I am sure he would've been perfect with his martial arts skills and all. Tony did well but the plot wiped him out for quite some time and Anthony was awesome as "late years" Ip Man but the plot had some issues. All of them were great but Donnie got the best plots, I hope you get what I mean.

I saw Secret, it was slow sailing and not something fast. Maybe you picked the wrong movie? I think you can use some action and thriller (if you like those genres of course).
A freaking legend in HK, not only as an actor but also as a stunning director in martial arts movies.

You like "In a Good Way"? I heard a lot about that drama but I am not ready to watch any Taiwanese drama at the moment. And I also heard many people comparing it to Reply 1997 and Reply 1994.
I don't know if you watched R. 1997 but this second season is also good. I am sure you would like it if you enjoy friendship and youth stories.
Marry Him if You Dare? I heard about it but all of them were negative comments. Good luck with finishing it!

I saw Drunken ANgel which was pretty amazing and Rashomon (does that count?) I also downloaded Stray Dog and I will watch it soon. I have bunch of old noir movies that I really want to watch such as "Branded to Kill", it does seem interesting. It reminds me of the old noir Hollywood films that I seriously love.
Nah, Miike's most human movie is Harakiri Death of a Samurai but that's a remake, I don't know if it counts. Straw Shield was also good though, pretty touching at some point.
I watched Galileo XX, I liked it but not like the dramas and the other movie. Utsumi did so well but I want Yukawa sensei. I guess I will have to watch "A Midsummer's Equation" with my beloved Fukuyama and Kitamura Kazuki, I can't believe they're giving him such small roles in the dramas :(

I also liked the friendship more than romance in Love Shuffle. It's like Reply 1994, I also like the friendship way better than the romance.
Are you taking a break from dramaland Lumi?

I am glad that my recommendations are always this accurate *proud* Serious now, you should also watch Galileo, it may seem long to you since there are two season but I am sure you will like it.

As long as you can handle long dramas at the moment then everything is cool :D I also have those phases where I randomly pick a Wuxia drama to change the mood.
Slam Dunk and Captin Tsubasa are my favorite sports animes ever. They're an important part of my childhood. I was going to fastforward some scenes of SD but I couldn't LOL I watched it dubbed in my language when I was little so now that I watch it with the original language I feel many new things or maybe it's because it has been a long time since I watched it :D
The other day, I was watching the first season of Kuroko no Basuke; a short Basketball anime (with only 25 episodes) that reminded me a lot of Slam Dunk and while waiting for the second season to finish, I decided to rewatch SD since I seem to miss it (:
No, I haven't seen Major. Is it a baseball anime?
I liked all Ip Man movies but of course Donnie's were the best; He did so well in them but the other three ones were also good, maybe not on the same level but still pretty cool. What about you?
I am slowly discovering this talent; even with supporting roles, he's doing so well. I am sure he has a bright future ahead of him.

Well, I am not in a rush to watch any rom-com to be honest. I made a severe pact to never watch a drama but I can be a bit linient with movies.
So have you seen Blind Detective? Was it to your liking? Oh, and you're really courageous to start another 50 episodes drama, how can you watch them back to back?
I am afraid I can't press on with Tenchijin yet. Not because I don't want to but because I am currently writing a bunch of yearly reviews and catching up with some movies so I can't find time. I am also rewatching Slam Dunk and reminiscing on childhood memories. I can be so weird LOL

You also started Empress Ki? It seems to be the rage amongst people these days. I still hold my 50% chances of watching this but I still rather watch a taiga drama instead of a sageuk but on the other hand, I like Ha Ji Won. Tough choice LOL Anyway, if I ever watch this drama then I will start it when it reaches at least 25 episodes.
Hmmm, Xxxholic is definitely not everyone's cup of tea but it's fun and a little spooky. I haven't seen the anime and I am not rushing to watch it. It's short and cool. Are you thinking about watching it?

Oh, you're also completing many dramas lately? I completed all the Japanese dramas that were currently airing and now I feel empty. No more Legal High and Kurokouchi for me.
As for films, I've been trying to finish some 2013 movies that I haven't watched. Today, I saw "Saving General Yang", an epic Chinese war film with great actors and a respectable director. It was a great watch for me. Now, I think I am in the mood for Galileo XX. Let's see how Kou does on her own.

Oh yeah, when a drama makes you talk so much about it then it's definitely an obsession :D I had my cases with such dramas.
I totally agree about the stupid melodramatic feel that Korean dramas tend to over-use to deliver their mysery and "couples problems". I always thought that the Japanese way is more neat but there aren't many romantic comedies like RMPW. There's another mature Japanese romantic comedy that I completely loved: "Love Shuffle". Have you seen it?

It's finally your turn to watch this drama but can you handle it alongside Three Kingdoms? It's going to be tough on you.
I finished it and I liked it; maybe not as much as I liked the first season but it's still pretty enjoyable and fun. I will also watch the movie soon.

I think the only genre we have in common is Psychology. When it comes to films; my top favorite genres are: Thriller, Action, Mystery, Crime, Suspense, Martial Arts, Wuxia and some comedy.
You're not in the mood to watch anything? Maybe because you're watching many dramas and films at the same time.

Tell me about flower boys; I am ready to kill fangirls who think that a pretty face can make good actors.
What do you mean there's only KimuTaku as good looking and a good actor? Have you forgotten Eita, Satoshi, Shun, Matsude Shota, Takeru, Tamaki,...
Are you still in Wuxia mood? These days I just wasnt to watch movies :D
