I agree. They are drawn to each other by ep 2, but just don't admit it yet. For Fan Xiao, it's still a game, and for Shulang, Fan is a good, beneficial friend. Fan Xiao will fall the hardest first. Shulang does hold back with others, but he shows more of his true self with Fan. This is why his bf Zhenzhen will say he doesn't think Shulang truly loves him, even though he shows a lot of care. He can't feel his heart or his world bc Shulang doesn't share it. But he will open up to Fan. Completely opens his heart and soul. Even his body bc he never bottomed for anyone before.

You Shulang will be more aggressive, but he has always had it in him. He wears a mask like Fan Xiao. He will have power over Fan Xiao and make him kneel at his feet. Shulang is a power bottom.

The first two episodes are very similar to the novel but move quickly. Fan Xiao is really a devil in sheep's skin. You Shulang are so unlucky to have met this lunatic. But like You Shulang, eventually we all fall for the devil.

Ngl, I kind of wish Duan were more aggressive and bold as the novel character. He was always making a move on the sixth prince lol. They took part of that bold personality trait and gave it to the live drama sixth prince. The sixth prince in the novel was more passive and carefree—not a schemer. But okay, it's all good. The novel is over 300 chapters with some extras, so there is no way they can complete it in 12 episodes. Changes had to be made, but so far, the changes are fine. The novel didn't have a wedding scene, so I'm happy to get it here. Looking forward to seeing that.

This is still a higher budget than the costume CBL from last year. Maybe some people forgot about that one. Doing a high-budget costume drama is tough, unlike modern CBL dramas. I appreciate them trying harder in this drama, and so far, the first 4 episodes are fairly good. They have chemistry, and the plot is not bad. Let's keep watching and pray for a happy ending.

I can't say anything about their accents since I am not Chinese, but they did their dubbing. I saw a BTS video of them in the studio for it.
