I realize that, but like I said. I have seen way, way WAY too many scandals where the accusers bring forth 'evidence' that ends up being debunked in court as fraudulant. Scandals that, in the media, truly have you thinking and believing the accused is guilty. So call me jaded. I am, BY NO MEANS, saying he is innocent. It does, in fact, APPEAR he is guilty. Until something legal comes out, though, this time I am trying to stay neutral, but open either way. No matter what, though, KSR was used and neglected. By ALL the adults in her life. Her parents condoned her living by herself at 15 for one and also seemed to know about this relationship back then, too. She is the victim here. She is the only one that I can say, with 100% certainty at this point, is innocent.

Excuse me? I said that because a lot of people on here are not parents and do not automatically think about things that a parent might, from that point of view. Hell yeah we judge other parents! I don't know where you live, but where I do, we have no problems critisizing another parent if they are making their kid suffer. I give 0 f***s if I sound like a snob. Thank you. I wholeheartedly agree. However, in addition to any culpability KSH might have, in my eyes, them knowing about it all this time suggests that, at the time, they condoned it. Therefore, they are also culpable in my eyes. All of them owe KSR an apology. They are all to blame. We all need to hold them accountable AS WELL. All the adults in this situation were sh***y.

Okok. Wait. I just wrote a pretty long reply to a comment below. Not going to paste it all here, but I am confused about something. What exactly, are the parents wanting an apology for? In 2015, the year Kim Sae Ron was 15, the legal age of consent was 13. Meaning that LEGALLY IN SOUTH KOREA, there was no underage relationship AT THAT TIME. (It wasn't raised until later) Do I think it is gross? Hell yeah! BUT, LEGALLY, and especially with their knowledge and consent, there are no grounds to demand anything from KSH.

They let her live alone at 15. In *addition* to, alledgedly knowing about this relationship. I am a parent, myself. I can say with certainty that they sound like very questionable parents. I say that while not a fan of KSH. Imo, BOTH sides here sound like they f'ed up royally. My heart goes out to KSR. From a parental standpoint, the more the parents reveal, the more it just looks like the poor girl was used and not cared for properly by all sides. No wonder she was pushed to the breaking point, if you step back and look how ALL PARTIES in this treated her, and that applies to netizens, too. It truly sounds, more and more, that she had no one on her side.

Again, I am jaded by years of SK scandals. Many are guilty of the accusations, but many are also innocent because the accusations and 'evidence' end up being proven fake in COURT. I now remain hesitant to believe anything until it is *legally* proven. However, I will say this. IF all of this true, and there is a big chance it is, everyone needs to understand that KSH won't be the only guilty party. These parents *DID* allow it, and it is already a fact they neglected her by abandoning her to her own devices AS A CHILD OF 15, to live alone, AS AN ADULT. Why are they suddenly trying to be the caring, protective parents now? Where were they then? Where were they when their 15 yo daughter was living alone? Where were they when she was supposedly dating a full grown adult? Where were they when she was getting into trouble and driving drunk? In my eyes, despite the KSH part, they are already guilty of that, at least. Can we please not forget that? What exactly are they trying to prove? Is there an inheritance battle going on bts? (that's just me trying to wrap my head around this bizarre behavior, is all.)

Bottom line. NO SIDE IS LOOKING GOOD HERE. Again, I am neutral. I am not a KSH fan. Think he is overrated. But I did like KSR. She was so extremely talented. I am also a parent and just appalled at their behavior, as well and it just seems to be getting swept under the rug because the KSH part is more 'sensational'.

Much better article, @Lily Alice. Better writing, more than one source and you lay down all the facts and allegations. A lot of people are complaining about it being gossip. They are not wrong but it is also news. The only complaint I still have is that maybe it needs a label adding gossip to it, but that is not on you. That would be up to MDL as a whole. I do think celebrity gossip is important here, but just think it should also be labelled as such.

As for the actual scandal, I am not a KSH fan. I have always thought he was ok, but a bit over rated. I am not predisposed to take any one side. However, the evidence presented so far is pretty damning. Then again, we all must remember that for as many guilty idols there have been in the past, there have also been those who who, eventually, have been proven innocent. Unfortunately, there have been many accusers who have been found out to have lied and forged evidence, seeking to gain from the publicity or money. I am not saying that is the case here. I just have become a bit jaded after many years and many scandals. As of right now, yes, he looks guilty as hell. However, I am personally going to wait a bit for more official legal news before I go 100% to deciding he is a groomer.

Actually, the only one in this discussion that is acting like that is *you*. @kyubin and I are just rather concerned about very valid issues that could potentially arise for this site as a whole, based on how this article was written. I also, again, bring up the issue of plagarism. I hope MDL editors are checking better and making sure most of the articles aren't just copied and pasted from other fan sites. This particular article consists of three original sentences, with the rest a copy and pasted English translated response from Koreaboo. There is only the one source linked. I just see that as potentially problematic. With news this big in the K entertainment world, I would assume MDL would be more nwesy and less gossipy.

No, but MDL writers should do much more research from more than one source and then not not quote another site's work. You do not have to be in Korea to research this. Literally every news source is reporting on this right now. Idk why you are shilling so hardcore for Koreaboo, but if someone is going to write an article, they should make it *their* work, not soneone else's. It gets really close to plagarism otherwise. Luckily, Koreaboo was credited, but still. I feel strongly enough to comment this because I am a writer, myself. I studied journalism. If this is *supposed* to be a gossip article, then cool. I have zero issues with that. I do think it should be labelled as such, though. My biggest issue with this particular article, though, is it is basically taken from one source, with their words. It is basically a Koreaboo article and that might not be good *legally*. There is no excuse for not doing your own research and writing the facts in your own words, without borrowing from someone else.

I admit to reading Koreaboo, but I wholeheartedly agree with this statement. Maybe it's time for writers of MDL to do more sourcing. Even if Koreaboo is accurate, there should be more sources. Always have more sources, and NEVER quote another site. Write your own words. Right now, this looks like a trashy gossip article. I know it isn't meant to, which is why I am saying this. This is important news and it *is* a scandal. However, I would hope that MDL's coverage of it gets more fact-based and actual news story like instead of gossip/tabloid like.
