The whole premise of this article bothers me. Asimov's laws of robotics have been hugely influential in the sci…
I totally agree with this. Not just for this genre, but any genre. An ex of mine used to piss me off to end because he insisted there were "rules" to fantasy fiction. That is simply false. In the world of fiction, when dealing with non realistic subjects, writers are free to be as creative as they so desire.
I do get KearaMH's perspevtive too, though. She clearly states she is comparing the formulas. I just disagree with adhering to a particular formula in this regard.
I totally agree. Park Min Young - this is her business, what her face looks like, but I do not have to watch it.
She only got double eyelids and fixed her nose because it was crooked.

I think Park Min Young is very beautiful. She also has not even had a lot done. She only got double eyelids and had a nose job because her nose was crooked. You sound jealous. No K drama ever has a female lead with pimples and other blemishes. It's ok to not like her or whatever, but don't body shame her. That's not cool at all.
There was a phrase at the beginning of review making "How many episodes you watched". Anyway - ill say that in…
Well, that is a new rule and I don't have any experience with it yet so I didn't know much. I was mostly commenting about the first part. It really should be in the discussion instead, don't you think? Again, not trying to pick on you or anything, but it does feel inappropriate for a review. Like I said, the rest of your review is really well written and detailed. (*^_^*)
I am not throwing shade on your review, but two things.
#1. I think the rule change in regards to still airing drama reviews state that you are supposed to mention how many episodes you have seen in your review. I might have missed it, but I didn't see it here.
#2. The whole first part of this is rather inappropriate for a review. It is just attacking people for not sharing your opinion and should not be included.
If you edit out that first part and add how many eps you have seen, I think you will have a strong review and I will change my helpful vote to yes.
Also want to add that I am a big LJG fan and also am enjoying this drama very much so I promise I am not a hater picking on you or anything. (*^_^*)
This article is very well written, but I do have to chime in about the part where it is implied that Itazura na Kiss must be trying to depict women as subservient, or was written purpisefully to show a certain outdated social ideal. I think you are looking too much into it. It's a pretty simple story, and in all honesty, pretty relatable. Kotoko and her many incarnates might really annoy and frustrate many people, but trust me. She is pretty relatable. I can fully attest to once being a ditzy teenage girl, completely obsessed with a certain guy for years. It was a huge, embarrassing crush, and looking back now, I can't for the life of me believe I wasted all that time. Lol Still, there really ate some of us who can be very much like Kotoko. She was not some sort of cultural ideal at all. She was simply a girl with a huge crush.
I do get KearaMH's perspevtive too, though. She clearly states she is comparing the formulas. I just disagree with adhering to a particular formula in this regard.
