- the original is HISTORICAL, this remake is everything but historical since they faked even historical figures taking only names out of context
- a cast of whole rookies in 2016 without any experience in sageuk
- idol should not be allowed to act without proper graduation in acting
- criminal actors ( a case in 2018 and 2021)
- shallow character portrayal
- no development
- bad shifting in the plot like attaching two different dramas
- distortion in history, setting, style and costumes
- competition with more korean-style dramas

I think you should. There is a satisfying ending that closes everything particularly if you watch the 39ep version ( because of some cases season 2 has two versions). Season 1 is an evergreen masterpiece of all times and centuries, season 2 is downtoned compared to season 1 but the chemistry is still on fire even compared to this remake. And think that the leads are married, while koreans are not

watch the original and you will know. People praising this cringe remake are the ones being superficial, shallow and uninterested in the plot
