Of course, because it's in Thai culture and tradition but this does not mean the only basis is Chinese original novel and Chinese original drama. Comparison is always needed since they have taken a very big name with an enormous fandom. And GMMTV has stated that they won't took from the bad comedy korean adaptation, so it's even useless to name it. Cast and staff need to put extra attention, there are not only the fandoms of each actor, but even us novel fans, to make happy.

The original Chinese one is an heartbreaking tearjerker that luckily has an hopeful ending compared to the novel and even a second season, it's more adult and mature that the korean remake. I suggest both for a comparison, but if you like mature and realistic portrayal and love stories you will love the original. Yes, it will be a fun ride... towards tears but worth of it. The original one makes a ball of tears everytime i rewatch it, the remake makes me laugh... not to be disrespectful, but as a woman, watching a love story like a comic is cute but nothing mature... it's the approach that changes and I hope Thai remake will follow a matur approach
