I haven’t watched the korean version, but I hate the helpless main character trope. Even though it’s revenge driven, I don’t feel much revenge is happening. I really wanted to like this. Dropped.
I'm totally on woojin's side, because yes, he made a mistake by talking in a harsh way, but people make mistakes…
I can understand both sides. It was probably a hard time for both of them. He had to physically have a hard time, losing sleep and being always busy. Meanwhile she struggled emotionally; feeling neglected and lonely. If you hit crisis mode and someone tells you they’ll change, you’d expect that to happen immediately, so you can put an end to the pain you are going through. So yeah, jiyeon is not evil, or making excuses to break up with him. She was probably protecting herself. Having her father passed away recently could’ve also added to the pain of feeling neglected.
wow I did NOT expect woojin to be this sharp with his words. I understand why jiyeon is completely out of feelings. His situation is obviously understandable tho. Approaching it differently and speaking from a place of love could’ve made things less hurtful, but he was probably upset that even though he was going through major changes, she couldn’t give him that space to grow financially. He was probably stressed too so he sounded mean and insensitive. Still giving the way he speaks during their conversations, he should definitely work on his tone for better conversations and communication
You might feel like you own a person after knowing them for 9 years? no? I am not saying its right, I am just…
understanding where they’re coming from is one thing, and addressing their behaviour is another. There’s a right thing to do, and meanwhile we can’t expect them to always do that, specially giving their complex relationship and the mentally challenging place that they’re in (the house with all the participants), we can’t completely discard accountability. If you keep doing the wrong behaviour over and over, you do deserve to be called out, in hopes for the behaviour to change. If you don’t hold yourself to a standard of doing better, at least in front of a person you possibly want back, how are you expecting any progress going forward?
Okay, one thing with preview, its that they're never to be trusted. But you nailed your point precisely. I guess…
Just to get this out of the way, I don’t think he hasn’t dated anyone for 5 years. He never stated that. He just said he hasn’t dated for a while, plus on their first restaurant date, they said that they wanted to travel together but never got to, but they did go with their next bf/gf(s). Anyways, I do agree with you that the previews are evil. I like the boy, my comment is not coming from a place of judgement. I’m rather concerned he will ruin his chances of getting back with his ex, specially that she doesn’t seem to hate the idea for now. Even before the preview, he has been acting the same way, pretending to be indifferent to his ex, even though no one directly asked. I’m afraid he’s also ruining his chances to be with other women as well, because he’s obviously concerned about his ex. He goes out of his way to be dishonest, probably to protect himself, but regardless of the place his coming from or his intentions, it’s not going to go well if he continued to act like that.
Yooshik isn’t even developing a romantic interest in anyone (not that he’s not allowed to), he is just hanging out with other participants. Minkyung doesn’t have the right to control him like that, even if they were in a relationship. I hope she can speak frankly about her feelings instead of giving him an earful every time.
I understand that what baekhyun is going through is so confusing that it’s making him act weird. You can clearly see that his actions are coming from a place of overthinking, but looking at the preview I’m hoping he doesn’t lose authenticity going forward. Hiding your feelings is one thing and lying is another.
minkyung walks all over yoosik....i get that he wants to get back together, but that takes proper communication…
Yep exactly. I think the panelists want to package it beautifully to the audience, but what she’s doing is disrespectful not only giving the fact that they’re not currently in a relationship and she doesn’t have control over him, but even if they were in one.
Has anyone also watched “My siblings romance”? I think Shinhyang is a carbon copy of Saeseung. Not only their looks, their voice and manners are very similar!
Lim JiYeon, the actress that you are. Modeokie or should I say, Ok Taeyoung.. I really cried sorrowfully as if I’m experiencing the same turmoil she is living. Those troubled heavy eyes that refuse to tear up immediately makes my tears fall down. I truly respect the courage and the wisdom she carries.
One thing about Choo YoungWoo is that he would play two characters and you would completely lose yourself in between them. He really executes that contrast, and that is why he’s such a good actor.
Please tell me this recived grand awards because I don’t hear people talk about it. The critics would at least…
Apparently Choo Youngwoo received the baeksang award for “Best New Actor”, which is a major win for the film! Unfortunately Lim Jiyeon or the drama did not win any awards, which is absolutely ridiculous, that was a striking performance.
missing this so bad
