Never watched a chinese drama, maybe I'll look the first episode.
Watch 2 episodes (she goes to back to her school days in Ep 2). The first episode is in current adult life, a set up to introduce all characters that will be in the second chance life.
Started this with zero expectations and it ended up surprising me a lot! I'm really enjoying it! The way the different…
You're right... I watched her in To Fly with You, but not necessarily fell for her because the story has more sport practice, competition, and all, and focuses on both her character and Wang An Yu. I watched that kind of drama before (Skate Into Love) so I was kinda bored with the theme. I feel like this drama focuses more on her character, which is hilarious.
I looked into her upcoming dramas, and now I'm looking forward for Sword and Fairy with Leo Wu/Wu Lei.
Loved every bit of it, at first thought it is typical time travel, as I really enjoyed Shining For One Thing (even…
Since you have read the novel: I only worried about her father. I hope it ends well. I mean, everything else is okay she can still try the national review, etc.
I think in the present after she wakes up, she realizes he has liked her all along anyway. She finds out some facts of the real past about him while in the "dream". He has tried to confessed to her at least two times in the novel (the flower bouquet delivery and the legal case). Remember the case he asks her to read many times but she never bother to read it?
Thank you for this article. Well now I might just give it a watch. Tbh I was kinda interested cuz of Song Zuer…
Let me answer you regarding the Chinese time travel dramas I have watched:
A. It seems okay if the 'time travel' is not real but only a dream during a coma or the character falls asleep. In the drama synopsis from MDL and also in the novel, FL falls into a coma after an accident, where she 'goes' back into the past. Also in time travel, FL or ML meets their love interest who is not in the present world. In Legally Romance, ML is in the present world and you'll be surprised how her time travel and the real past and present world are actually connected, so it's not a mere dream.
B. Regarding Z. Tao it's a personal thing, so I cannot tell you to like it or not. I like him in the Brightest Star in the Sky (his other 2 dramas are Republican Era), so take a peek into that drama if you are not too sure of this one. In the BSITS he is an idol singer tho so he has some celebrity attitude, here his character is more down-to-earth and supportive to FL imo.
About the amount of episodes or fillers, so far I watched till Ep 16, I compare with the novel, there is no fillers. I only see the possibility of another couple (I'm not sure), but the romance is still only about the main couple. There is a side story about the FL's parents that is not in the novel, but their family relationship is beautiful/supportive. Also some college assignments like free legal aid, debates, etc, but they are all in the novel.
Here Song Zu Er's acting is funnier than in To Fly With You.
I am loving this drama SO MUCH so far!! After watching the first three or four episodes I realized that I love…
I think the wait is better than doramas that is only once a week although it's short, lol. Brightest Star in the Sky is one drama that I wished I could make a recap article of it because it's so good, especially the team work between ML and FL.
I wish there are more romcom Jdramas that are subbed... I like watching them because they're short ;D
I have read the novel and loved it but the drama I just don't feel like watching Z Tao as Lu Xun...no hate intended,…
When I read the novel (before the drama), Lu Xun felt like a deity or something, lol. He is said "The Light of the Law School" or something like that. The drama tho, makes Lu Xun more down-to-earth. More like a normal college guy. Even Z. Tao is tanned in the "dream", but light-skinned in the current time (when he is a lawyer before Qian Wei falls into coma or whatever is in the drama). Just curious, who do you think supposed to play as Lu Xun, based on the novel?
OMG... it's finally out! I have waited this for ages seems like. I have watched the trailer. I think the story is slightly different than I'm Not A Robot (plus they adjusted accordingly to pass the censorship). And it seems that Chae Soo Bin acting/makeup is more convincing as a robot than Sun Qian's. However, I won't watch this as a remake of the INAR. It's more likely as a side story of Meteor Garden 2018, hahaha. Connor Leong and Sun Qian are so cute together!
Thanks for this article! Honestly, I'm not a big fan of Thai dramas (having only seen like one episode and I don't…
I have watched Thai dramas, including the true lakorn, that are mostly in Ch3, Ch7, or Ch11, or more modern approach to Thai dramas that are usually in GMMTV. F4 Thailand is on GMMTV and is not a typical Thai drama (for example: no corny Thai jokes). I think they try to capture international audience due to the franchise's popularity, besides they tried to put in as many story lines as possible in this short duration. F4 Thailand follows the Japanese Hana Yori Dango version I think.
Since it will finish on April 9 you have 3 more episodes to go ;D. I have watched till Episode 12, leave Episode 13 till the end for binge watch since I'm busy watching other dramas.
About the bullying... Episode 1 is the worst in my opinion, because F4 (especially Thyme) instigates it. It's basically introduction of who F4 and what they do at school. However, by the end of Episode 1 you already saw a change happens. Thyme fights physically, similar to the HYD, unlike in Korean BOF Goo Joon Pyo doesn't even lift any finger but orders people to fight. I haven't seen Meteor Garden 2001 so I cannot compare with it. After Episode 1 Thyme's character gradually changes episode by episode.
However, the students (not F4) still bully Gorya later due to some reasons that you have watched in the Korean BOF. You will see why they do without F4 instigation, as explained in Episode 1 (by Kavin).
If you watched Episode 1 let me know what you think ;D
No, she's not annoying in this drama, rather a cunning one.
