Arrogant and domineering, Jian Moran is a fashion designer. As an heiress of the Jian family, her grandfather wants to marry her off. In order to not get married, she deliberately approaches a male model Huo Jinyan for a contract marriage and to live with her. He has saved her in several incidents. But she doesn't realized that Huo Jinyan has a secret identity and in turn got close to her with a hidden motivation. [It was revealed along Ep 1-12 what his identity is and his motivation, but I don't want to spoil you]

Handling various work matters is Jian Yicheng, Jian Moran's non-blood related cousin. He has feelings for Jian Moran. Because of the appearance of Huo Jinyan, Jian Yicheng uses all means to get her.

This drama reminds me of the Kdrama My Demon, without the demon part cos China bans supernatural theme. Summary of Ep 1-12 below with little spoiler:

Dropped it. The leading actress is supposed to play twins, but now that the twin sister shows up, I cannot even distinguish between the two! Should've cast an actress with better acting skills if the drama centered on the FL, especially twins.

Probably because Hyun has amnesia so he doesn't remember anything. He even doesn't remember he is the king, the eunuch had to give him crash course on palace ethics. So Ak Hee needs to wake up to save the kingdom cos he is not amnesiac.

SML is Ak Hee, played by the same actor. He loves FL but FL only loves ML (Hyun).

Hyun has amnesia, the same side effect of the antidote given by Chung Ta. He met Yeon Wol again while recuperating in the countryside sent by Yung and the Queen. Everyone thinks that Ak Hee is dead. Even though Hyun doesn't remember Yeon Wol, he's still attracted to her and even made a clothing set for her. But Yeon Wol doesn't want to reveal her identity as his lover. Before she leaves Hyun, she hugs him to wake up Ak Hee. She then goes back to the other prince saying she doesn't want to marry him cos he doesn't cure Hyun (he woke up but has amnesia). Hyun then saves her from that prince and brings her back, tho he still doesn't remember her. The episode ends with Ak Hee waking up and calling Yeon Wol Kyera.

The pictures are lovely, it was hard to pick one. But I'm in Dark Mode right now so I picked the darkest picture. Fits well I think, will watch it someday when I have a chance.

Yes, that's why Seok Jeong requested annulment (instead of divorcing her), and only the King can grant that. So now Yeo Hwa is legally never married and she's a free person.

I actually didn't know either, I thought they always worked together in one production company. Until I researched them and found the interview articles on them and she mentioned him as her husband.

The scene in the drama when Nan Zhu said that he is "Your exclusive NPC" to Jiu Shi

The general led the rebellion to seize the throne but was appeased with the help of SML and his troops. After the General and his men were arrested, ML succeeded the throne as the new emperor. ML established peace treaty between two kingdoms. BUT, FL left both ML and SML, back to her country (too much heartbreaks). 3 years later, ML and FL run into each other at a festival. So open ending with a positive tone.

It doesn't show they have sex since he found the sachet in bed right away. She fights him in her own way by not wanting to have a child with him.

Thanks for the info. I watched the whole drama on kisskh with an awful sub, lol, but I understand a bit of spoken Chinese and I'm so used to watching dramas with bad subs so I don't mind as long as I understand the whole picture. But now since I'm thinking of writing an MDL article about this drama, I have to rewatch and capture some dialogues with good sub, especially the bromance/BL vibe part. I haven't made decision to write or contact MDL about it, tho, cos I really hate the idea of rewatching a drama, lol.

I don't want to spoil you much but they're shown alive in Ep 77 and 78. Just curious, which sub version are you watching now?
