I am greedy lol at first my hope was please at least a HE but as drama progressed with such a tight cohesive plot and great pace that it would such a shame to stumble at the end. LBFaD has broken every trope and expectation from usual c drama so fingers crossed this is also the case for the ending.

Loved every episode because of interaction between CP but have to admit episodes 33 and 34 were a little disappointing where FL still doesn’t remember or acknowledge ML if she is pretending and doesn’t look like this will be resolved till last episode 😞 i really hope the ending isn’t rushed and we get a satisfactory happy ending not just the ending from the preview on iQIYI before it was deleted. So many things to resolve with only 2 episodes left.

At episode 28 and the development of their relationship has been amazingly well written, directed and enacted up to this point. Their chemistry is on 🔥 I love the focus of them constantly holding/gripping each other’s hands at pivotal scenes. Such a simple gesture yet so meaningful. DFQC declaration in front of his people ..…just wow! DFQC is now my all time favourite ML😍 Dylan’S acting and whoever did his dubbing needs to be applauded….what a killer combination!
So much was revealed about side characters in last episode . I think Jieli may be Danyin’s twin sister. She was an orphan and looks like the mother . Also disappointed she didn’t confide in XLH and once again putting her life at risk to save her own neck. I have a feeling the poison detoxification that was part of DFQC bridal gift to XLH will be used to cure Jieli’s poison? Praying:
* no rush ending with only 8 episodes to go
* happy ending which I believe will be but a satisfying happy ending to make up for the angst that is coming
* iQIYI to offer express viewing for last 6 episodes. Will happily pay 💰. If not then any kind soul in MDL to provide spoilers. Impatient me live for spoilers 😀

Angst is coming our way but pretty certain it will be happy ending. Drama suicide if not . Novel has happy ending after the usual suffering leads have to go through.

I’ve seen that trailer and also thought it would be before lantern scene but now likely next episode before wedding where they makeup since episode 24 ended up with them bickering. Those two can’t stay angry or away from each other for long ☺️ Every episode gets better and better. So impressed with ML acting. He has been able to portray every emotion so convincingly . The wait for next episodes is going to be torturous 😭

Yep August has been a great month with LLTG and this drama ☺️ Have to say so far 2022 has produced some memorable costume dramas with WRTW, ADOS and The Autumn Ballard.

I have rewatched the body switching back scene in episode 13 too many times to count…..that kiss! don’t judge me 😆 seriously was not expecting to love this drama. Great mix of comedy, romance and action. Never a fan of xanxia with the fantasy, forbidden love, death and reincarnation a thousand times over etc. but this will be the first where I can’t wait for next episodes. Story is unique, cgi is impressive and love the slow progression of main lead relationship. So far every episode focus on their interaction which is heaven for someone who is addicted to romantic dramas. SML is gorgeous and loved him in Maiden Holmes but Dylan Wang as ML is totally hot 🔥 his acting is mesmerising… ..so much better than in Miss the Dragon.

All hail Consort Yue👏 The relief on the Emperor’s face when she entered the banquet and uttered her first sentence was gold. . Credit to the writer for Consort Yue’s dialogue in episode 30…….savage but hilarious 😂 how on earth did Consort Yue and the Empress give birth to such useless children?

Nearly every female is in love with LBY no matter how rude he is towards them. His verbal attacks on those b*tches that pick on FL are gold👏 Lady Wang needs her eyes check because she’s going blind’….congrats to 5th princess on upcoming marriage to desolate lord, he is her perfect match.😂

Old Madam is like Smaegol from Lord of the Rings with the betrothal gifts…..“It’s mine, mine, mine” 😆 finally getting more ML and FL screen time and can’t wait for episode 27. …. Looking like a great way to end part 1.

One minute LBY is killing a prisoner with vicious intent the next the emperor is kicking LBY out of frustration and complaining to Eunuch why he didn’t stop him from kicking LBY because it hurt his feet🤣 emperor scenes are guaranteed to make you laugh. Love the emperor and credit to the director for the constant shift in mood. Slaps were pure satisfaction as well as the beheading.

Last couple of episodes have been hilarious. The comedy in this drama is so well written and executed. Bless the emperor, was more upset when he realised Prince Xiao stole LY’s first fiancé leading to LY’s engagement to CSS which caused LBY to remain single than finding out Prince Xiao was a traitor 😆I’m enjoying the change in pace and mood, from light to dark. The times FL and ML are together are sizzling and not enough. Talk about a slow burn! Thank goodness there is another 29 episodes in season 2 to focus on their relationship.

Wow first 2 episodes got me hooked. Wasn’t expecting to enjoy this drama so much. FL is beautiful, intelligent, resourceful and a survivor. So refreshing. First BFX in WRTW now this FL. Can C drama plz keep up this trend.! Just hope they don’t dumb the FL later on with out of character actions like in The Autumn Ballad. Great pace and acting, interesting plot and characters, and already feel the strong chemistry between CP. Awesome start and a new addiction after WRTW.

Can’t believe it’s been a year since Vincenzo aired! Never interested in K drama until I saw trailer for this drama and the rest is history. Loved it! Very unique and interesting plot and characters that I was counting the days until new episodes air each week! Amazing CP chemistry even though the romance was subtle I loved their interaction and how well they understood and support each other, working together to bring down the villains. No stupid misunderstandings except at the beginning when they misread the other’s character then you get to see their relationship develop into mutual respect and love. Main leads are such badass and so refreshing to see a strong, intelligent FL yet still quirky. The comedy can at times be over the top but still many hilarious scenes. Superb acting by all including the villains. Their demise was epic.
Ignore the reviews and watch first few episodes to decide for yourself.

I absolutely loved this drama. Remember first watched this when I was in high school with my parents and since then lost count of the number of times I’ve rewatched this drama . Michael and Barbara were an awesome duo back then🥰 Amazing chemistry between CP, my favourite CP of all time even though their screen time was not as significant but when they were together it was mesmerising. Last few minutes of the drama were my favourite.Both intelligent especially ML and interesting plot, perfect pacing with interesting side characters. Anyone know where I can get my hands on English sub version of this drama?

I’ve watched 10 episodes and my one gripe is the FL character. Her actions made me cringe. Personally it gets worse before it gets little better in episode 9. However despite this I am still enjoying the drama and I expect FL character development as series progress…. Hopefully.

Enjoying this drama and good chemistry even though the relationship feels rushed and editing could be better. Good mix of action, mystery, romance and comedy, fight scenes are impressive and “Shen Oink “ the piglet was too adorable in the guard uniform 🤣 My one issue is the FL character is too aggressive in her pursuit of the ML bordering on stalking/obsessive and comes across as childish and selfish. Yes she is clever and isn’t a pushover and I am all for women taking the initiative but some of her actions were unacceptable and put herself and others at risk. Repeatedly accusing or implying ML taking advantage of her in public? It’s not ok if a male did that and it’s no different for a female. Asking him to carry her knowing he was injured? Not wanting to go back to see if her maid and guard were alive after the ambush? So far not a very likeable FL. Just my opinion and hope there is character development.
