Yep I was so shocked at the turn of events in last 15mims of episode 28. Made absolutely no sense. I would have happily watched CP continue to bicker, solve crimes together and thwart YL for the remainder of the episodes but now looks like I will be using the fast forward button for remaining episodes.

Drama has been amazing and addictive up until episode 28 where one minute it looks like the CP are finally going to be together then the next the FL decides to just leave and be free. WTH! It’s like a totally different writer took over the script at episode 28. With only 6 episodes left looks like drama is heading down the typical path of unnecessary angst, separation, deaths of favourite characters and rushed ending with still so many things to occur from the trailers and bts. Please let this not be the case but the ending of episode 28 left a bitter taste in my mouth. Poor LY and I am still not comfortable with the idea of ML working with YL for the “greater good” given all the evil things YL committed including the cause of Song Jin’s death…..YL has to somehow pay for his crimes. Aargh so friggin frustrated!

ML admitting his feelings for FL to QX was so swoon worthy 🥰 reality check to QX that it’s not all about him. I knew ML must have been the author of one of those investigation stories that FL loved to read. There was a scene of younger ML and Song Ji on horseback where ML said he wanted to use his brush as a sword to fight for justice etc.
FL keeps continuing to impress me with her intelligence, determination and courage. FL burning herself with hot coal to prove she was Su Wan was a move that even ML hadn’t anticipated and once again the main lead outwit YL’s attempt to prove FL is Qui Yan.
The award for best bodyguard goes to Song Ji …….buy her a torture kit 😂😂 anyone know what FL wrote on the lantern? Not sure if I missed it or they purposely only showed ML’s wish. These two are so natural and playful that it adds to the authenticity of their relationship. The scene where ML is teaching FL to fight seems like another bts that they decided to include because it was jut too adorable. Another 5 long days of waiting before new episodes 🥺

Totally agree! Drama by no means perfect but the quality of the production, acting and plot ( from 22 of 34 episodes so far) all add up to make this drama so entertaining, enjoyable and addictive to watch.

Episode 21 and 22 well worth the wait for the cute scenes between the leads. So damn good and favourite episodes so far. There were plenty of LoL moments that I’ll be rewatching over and again😆 episode 21 started with a bang with FL slapping QM in the face….not for what QM did to QX but for LY because QM leaving put LY at risk after he saved them. Slap was so satisfying and shows FL was never in love with QX. She liked him and used him as a mean of escape. Episode 22 really showed the contrast between main lead’s relationship and QM and QX relationship, You can’t force love it only leads to misery!
ML facial expressions in these 2 episodes were hilarious and adorable. The way he looks at FL…*sigh* Finally FL starting to notice ML as a love interest. Amazing she can tell courtesan Shi is in love with ML but was clueless with ML.
I love ML’s mother ….so supportive, understanding and manipulative. Just like her son lol I will be devastated if she dies based on the bts I have seen😔 stand out scenes:
* ML expression when he recited all the things FL likes to his mother in front of FL….so proud of himself until he realise what has done
* ML mother having the foresight to leave a chamber pot in the bedroom when she locked them in.
* Song Ji putting cucumber on ML’s eyes and telling ML he doesn’t look as intimidating with dark circles under his eyes after a restless night sleeping in separate room from FL
I can’t get enough of main lead interactions.😍They are so in sync. Finally a couple who are open and honest with each other, they talk (and bicker) and scheme together. So refreshing!

I hope YL and ML do not work together in later episodes. YL is too evil and beyond redemption that it’s not plausible for him, ML and FL to put aside their differences and forget / forgive his actions.

QM dark storyline aside It was so entertaining watching ML get jealous and the two of them working together to outwit YL. ML is a brilliant strategist. My favourite ML and couple😍 even though ML loves FL and will do anything to protect her so glad ML hasn’t gone totally soft .

To protect FL from YL and so they can continue investigating she is pretending to be another person who is ML’s concubine. ML is enjoying himself way too much 😁 total opportunist!

Yes I wish by episode 24 FL realise her feelings since it will only be 10 episodes left and from the trailers there is a lot still to happen. I love a slow burn but there is a limit 😆

This drama definitely not one of those fluffy rom-com. Has a lot of substance and a great balance of light heartiness and seriousness. The comedy is subtle yet hilarious. Although I can’t wait to watch ML and FL antics in next couple of episodes I hope the remaining 10 episodes will not follow the usual c drama trend of rushed endings and killing off characters for no reason. I’ve seen BTS where I think ML’s body guard and mother die 🤭

I was disappointed too. My heart dropped when the key dropped! So adorable ML keeps looking at his bracelet but would cause trouble If YL notice it on both of them. At least at some point she puts it back on again based on one of the trailers.

Love these 2 leads together and yes how the mighty ML has fallen and so entertaining to watch. Definitely ML realise his feelings before FL. He confess to SML that he loves her in episode 23. Link to preview kindly provided above.

The emperor granting ML a marriage with lady of his choosing in episode 18 pretty much paves the way for FL once they redeem her family and defeat YL etc…...at least it better be. Wonder who Miss Shi is to ML. Seems like she is his mole.
