In the very end, he chooses Airi by faking his suicide. It seems to me he wants to be out of Sumire's life completely. Deep down he knew Sumire wouldn't be able to abandon her kid, their marriage just wouldn't work. I think he knows the one who loves him most is Airi. I'm sure he will open his heart to her in the future.
did they end on a cliff hanger or is it a different storyline for season 2?!?!?!?
I haven't watched the final ep yet but there will be a special episode on 23 June and the second season starts on 30 June. https://www.ntv.co.jp/anaban/story/
He should go to university. Love doesn't last forever. He should focus on his future instead of playing Romeo. He is too young for worrying about how to support an adult woman financially. He's wasting his best years imo. So naive and inexperienced.
It has a cute, slow-burn romance. You'll be satisfied in the end imo. But the story focuses more on her character development and her family. If you like family dramas, you'll enjoy this series for sure!
After having watched ep 4, I've started shipping Nao with Yuichi. He seemed very robotic at first and his mother is a selfish monster but now that it's clear he has feelings for nao, I believe he can bring stability and peace to Nao's life. I can't stand Shinji and his inferiority complex. He causes unnecessary drama. Well, also I know I am suffering from second lead syndrome lol. I wish I were the scriptwriter!
I got really bored and it took me like two weeks to complete this drama. Generally i love series about friendship but this time I just didn't feel it. Romantically, I didn't root for any couple lol. The ending annoyed me as well. Maybe at that time the scriptwriter was aiming for a special episode to tie up the loose ends.
I like Sia's cover of California Dreamin'. Pleasantly surprised to hear the original song as the theme song! (Well, the title of the this show is Yume no California after all! I should have guessed haha...)
I thought they were using lethal injection in Japan for death penalty. I'm surprised to find out they use hanging method. Great drama by the way! Looking forward to more Yoshine Kyoko scenes!
