I got disappointed in Sugimura-san this season. He rarely paid attention to his wife, he got bitter and felt jealousy towards his wife over her wealth, he felt trapped, he wanted to escape ( while he never shared his honest feelings with his wife, he was pretending to be content with a smile on his face all the time. He even questioned himself if he was in love with his wife's friend?! He was never like that in the first season. He was almost perfect partner for Nahoko. He had no right to be angry with her over Hashimoto because he had betrayed her first. Emotional betrayal is always worse. I don't know why the scriptwriter changed his character so dramatically. At least Nahoko decided to be her better self. I liked that she put her independence first. Although it's a bit sad how they go their separate ways, their marriage was over when Sugimura secretly dreamt about escaping Nahoko's life and started being dangerously close to her friend Mano. Ultimate betrayal imo.
