I think it was a piece of paper that says he has a concubine. Assume he didn't want her to see that. It was not…
@PeachBloossomGoddess i already watched TMOP and was left unimpressed but that is just me.

@PeachBlossomGoddess i believe due to copyright in my country plus i had to wait on english subtitles that is the reason i got into the game late. Am not a drama queen (forgive the pun) this is the 3rd drama i have seen in my lifetime i have no patience to keep watch as the series is being aired or to record then return to it later however Love & Destiny kind of threw me to the curb. I am in love with the series and am now re watching it at leisure just to enjoy anything i might have missed first time round. I am also unsure when i can recover (if i ever do) from watching this series. 'Heaven help us all'

@PeachBlossomGoddess I had just finish watching Love and Destiny last week so still fresh on my mind. in my opinion filler is mostly ep 26-29 then 46-49. wish that the ending was not so abrupt.

It is a concubine deed meaning that he bought women to be his concubine this is mostly practiced by rich merchants who can afford more than 1 wife but you can only have a concubine after you married your first legal wife. The humor attempt is that Jiuchen just informed A'mo he was never engaged or had a marriage arrangement in the books moments before he noticed the 'concubine deed'.

Does anyone know what's written in the letter on ep 44???
The letter Jiuchen presented to A'mo on his background and properties? and snatched away?

I just finished watching as due to copyright the series was opened to my country complete with english sub about 2 weeks ago (beginning november in time for my bday (yeah!))and i am IN LOVE with this drama!!!
Ignoring all the negative (everyone has their opinions), to me this drama is just perfect in almost every single way.

The ML is older / serious and the FL is dorky enough to play the role of younger love interest and i am telling you the chemistry between them is through the roof. Additionally i appreciate that this series has more mature actors/actresses as they had to act the part of immortals/gods whom live very long lives. I was so relieved there were no 18 year old pale faced & anorexic actor/actress in the cast.

What i am loving is that this drama portrays real love nothing sinister or anything to hide both leads knew who the other was in terms of age / seniority and position. Add a dash of humor (some had me almost falling off my chair) with naturally a villain in this case there are 2 which makes it interesting is the appearance of a 2nd ML and oddly enough the chemistry between the FL and 2nd ML was pretty good too. In my opinion maybe a handful of episodes should have been replaced not reduced. The ending had me hanging with a few questions which did not get any answers.

I was not in love with TMOP because the love was too dark / torturous and the storyline too heavy. The main character(s) either went to sleep for tens of thousands of years / lost their love interest / purposely forgot their child or love interest / had terrible father figures etc. i get it if viewers want to be emotionally tortured but i personally don't.
