just finished watching, am aware some hate the twist in the drama come ep 12 while some just stayed because they wanted to finish the drama and move on. I am on the fence, I liked the development of female lead she started as a female version of dumbo (clueless, too kind and believed in fairy tales) with help from hui yeon to start then ji hyuk she grew and was not dependent on anyone to fight her battles for her admittedly ji hyuk did most of the heavy lifting but unlike my perfect marriage revenge ji hyuk prepared for different scenarios because he knew he could not possibly be with ji won 24/7. I still think that the drama was dragging in many instances but did a full speed towards ep 13 - 15 with almost the entire community wanting ji won dead (yu ra, sumin, min hwan, sumin's dad, jiwon's mum) I get yu ra was needed to be the actual villain who got the ball rolling and she took ji hyuk 's fate but I would have loved some focus on eun ho / hui yeon's and lee seok jun / yang ju ran's romances as there were quite a few scenes that could have be cut and were not necessary.
Found this movie by accident and its similar to hallmark's a family for Christmas. Feel good family movie with 'what if' I had chosen a different path in life.

I actually commented that the director must have been a monk or nun because the drama is a ROMANCE drama but till the end NOTHING and to make things worse the male lead died!

My take on this drama is more to be friends first before becoming lovers. Slow and easy if the 2 are destined to be together nothing can stop them from being together.
Just like prince william and kate middleton, they did not have a wild romance but a strong reliable friendship for 8-9 years before marrying.

🤗 Actually i watched AOL after a couple of years since it was aired. In all honesty I was not very impressed maybe because I watched it AFTER TMOPB (my mistake) 🤣. Most of the fans were only into how pretty boy (fair/thin/good looking) the male leads were. Denglun & the other guy who acted as his brother were cast in numerous dramas because of AOL. (One had a downfall & the other was put in such horribly produced dramas his face could not save the day) I watched Yangzi in 'The legend of dragon pearl' & you should try to watch, her acting is exceptional to me in that drama because the focus was not on the male leads. 😅 I normally don't pit the characters of dramas against each other I concentrate on how the actor develops the character (with or without a pretty face). 😄

I see it as she has finally calmed down and figured things through. Before all she wanted was a confession of some sort of affection from YY when he refused to admit that was why she jumped off the bridge that begin this whole cycle. Now YD realised that YY has to protect the 3 realms which means protecting her and all beings - that is the bigger picture. YD had this realisation with YM and the yelan mountain people to protect so she now knows what it means to hold on not just your loved one near but to think of everyone around you.
