can anyone recommend me an ongoing or a finished drama with like max 30-40 episodes that is as good as this dram
Some high-rating dramas this year: Lost You Forever, My Journey to you, SOKP. Upcoming drama this week 'The Last Immortal'. If you like reverse harem, choose LYF. If you like actions and suspense, choose MJTY. If you like xianxia, choose TLI. If you like political intrigues, must choose Nirvana in Fire, rating 9.1 on MDL! Good dramas in recent years: Love Like Galaxy, Story of Yanxi Palace... too many, ups to your preference.
Could someone help me with these questions…Why did the casts of SOKP get to film As You Wish: Story of Kunning…
Only SOKP is made by iQiYi. MJTY and OFL are by other production companies. But SOKP investment is only Rating A, less than MJTY (Rating A+). Sometimes, they decide to film a variety show because of the friendship of the cast, which is perfect for a hilarious variety show. and their available time.
Hey can someone explain how Chinese censoring works? I was watching unchained love and the drama started feeling…
Sometimes even if they cut off the steamy scenes, it doesn't affect the story. But, in this drama, it's a very important plot to show the ML's insane in sickness.
Is Xuening & the author are the same person or it's just a story in the author's novel? I was just about to watch…
It's only added to pass the censorship (rebirth is not allowed in china due to real committing sucide cases to time travel/rebirth) . The story in the novel is rebirth. Just ignore the modern scene.
correct me if I'm wrong, but are BL and ZLH dating? I heard this rumour on some random Twitter page not to spread…
It's their private life. They won't publicly confirm or deny it, which would influence their upcoming dramas and careers (they are both hard-working). But they are good friends at least, you can tell from the natural interactions on iQiYi Scream Night a few days ago.
can anyone tell me is the story ending same as the novel ending ?i just saw some news that it might have a season…
There's no season 2. The modern scene is only added for passing censorship. The same ending as the novel, only differs in small details in the ending, but doesn't matter.
From reading the comments a lot of watchers really like SOKP, but not a lot are rating it. Therefore, I think…
Yeah, many watchers forgot to rate it... and the extra episode on MDL only gets 8.5: https://kisskh.at/760091-story-of-kunning-palace-extra hope more can vote. I have never seen any other cdrama crew film the epilogues of life after marriage, despite their budget is limited (Rating A budget), still did better than some S dramas.
Hi fellow! Random find you here. It's much better than NIF, but because it's heavy history and political intrigue,…
I see your concern. Yes, there're many characters in this big drama. If you have some knowledge about it, would be better. But I think the story is well written even if you don't know about the background.
Background knowledge you can google these keywords: 1. Three Kingdoms (China) 2. Cao Cao 3. Sima Yi 4. Cao Cao's sons (Cao Pi, Cao Zhi) 5. Sima Yi's sons (Sima Shi, Sima Zhao)
The first few eps are set in the late Eastern Han Dynasty, transitting to the Three Kingdoms period (In ep1, Cao Cao is an official/general of the Eastern Han Dynasty, he seized the greatest power, though later his son Cao Pi nominal established the Kingdom Wei, the contributions are from Cao Cao).
The story mainly happens in Kingdom Wei (Cao Cao's kingdom). Sima Yi used to be his son Cao Pi's advisor/strategist, serving Family Cao. But eventually, Family Sima seized the throne from Cao and established the Jin Dynasty . Sima Zhao is a cunning guy (actor Tan Jian Ci, good acting here!), he's similar to his father.
S1 focuses on how Sima Yi got recognized and helped Cao Pi by his schemes. S2 focuses on how Sima Yi became the top 1 political official of Kingdom Wei and led the army to battle with Kingdom Shu. In the end, he staged a coup and controlled the kingdom. His sons both supported him, especially Sima Zhao (showed his ambition early).
It has a little romance, but the kinship is portrayed well in the Family Sima, always stand together. The political intrigues are on another level (not obvious, not easy to guess). Most events and characters are real in history. So if you are confused about any character, just google their names. And welcome to ask me here :D
Btw, in S1, the pace is a bit draggy after Cao Cao died ( Ep 23). you can skip some. And S2 is even better than S1 in my opinion.
Camping here for the bts and memes.☺️ Is there an upcoming show where there’s a possibility of ZLH and BL…
GQ Gala on 12.7. All the popular couples will sit on one boat (one boat one couple), wearing Hanfu, floating on the river in an ancient town, the most special red carpet ever !!!
