This is one of a good drama i watched so far and acting wise is exceptional (specially for Liuxueyi - it really a showcase of his acting talent) but i think they should give the romance a room too. To the very end ml feeling is not reciprocated openly, as if voicing a loving phrase and acknowledgement of jinqi as a love of her life diminished her empowered woman virtue. All i see is a prideful smart kind woman that don't need a man. The narrative is just lanxiang is a dutiful wife and mother with the goal in mind to simply reinstating Shen family name by writing a play, that his grandfather didn't even care about knowing his whole clan will be killed was okay as long as he stand for what he believes.
So even if this is a very good drama i will not rewatched it. Btw the only drama i paid vip and express.

Atleast they still give grace for the audience that they didn't unalive jiugao and nanka

can you imagine that only lanxiang is smart all knowing out of all character, okay she learn from his grandfather from young up to 15 yrs old but what about jinqi, he was a scholar before going to battle field, his education and experience is far more superior to lanxiang yet all wisdom came from lanxiang, thats what im saying, that they downgraded jinqi character too much.

1st clue - she cried at the graveyard of Shen, recognize the maids, forgotten birthday so many hints there, 2nd her mother giving birth not the same, story told, 3rd, her hand writings and drawing, knowledge even in music and politics, 4th to confirm is the drawing of Shen collection recognize by father xu. If she is not Shen Jialan then who is she?

The only thing I find it disagreeable is they downgrade jinqi character too much in the later part to accommodate the women empowerment. They could be partner, he still this manly head of the household and partner with lanxiang not a submissive husband and out of character jinqi. But overall the actors portrayed their character well.

Lanxiang is a delicate character if not portrayed well , she will look offensive and overbearing. Her underlying resentment to the Lins, her anger of forced marriage to the Lins after their backout of the engagement before to save their clan yet she still nice educated lady with hints of her still liking jinqi, to have that nuances of romance. Who could played it well if not tansongyun.

I hope after this drama LiuXueYi will receives alot of brand endorsements and deals. He deserves it, he doesn't lack face and body cards. He is handsome and yummy body so why uncle october schedule is very clean 😌 - filming of China 1927

It was already subbed with Iqiyi logo at that. Well inside job maybe some rich viewer paid the staff a huge amount to give them a all 10 EPs, that is supposed to be a secret and private, it so happen that they shared it with friends, and then one of them posted it, out of control.

No leak episodes yet in illegal site? I remember POJ last 10 episodes leaks 😅😅 when Iqiyi change schedule from 2 - 1 per day. They underestimated viewers frustration. Imagine you are waiting impatiently and then boom, all episodes are in 😂😂. Why can't they just followed sched of 2 episodes . If this drama not this popular, they sure stick to the schedule.

So the strategy of 1 ep per is not a good one.. some delays watching to get atleast two ep. Or some simply disappointed with Tencent for changing the schedule just because the viewers anticipated it much.. I remember poj also did it so some rich viewer maybe bought the insider to illegally publish all last 10 episodes ahead of time, when you so frustrated and suddenly all 10 episodes uploaded in illegal site 😅😅

Feeling is not really an issue in Lanxiang Way (coz it's there) but a knot in her heart about her family, once cleared daye then without question can enter chamber and claim his bed 😄

Try watching under the power - her first timeless performance... Even after 10years from now I can still rewatch it from start to end , even tho I rewatched like 5x already

My hypothesis is still the same: Lanxiang has feeling for Jinqi and these are the hints :
1) the 200 strokes - she knew that jinqi planned to use this to eliminate that official but still she ruined it, her reason is sis in law blah.. or she simply can't take the risk and can't bear of jinqi putting his life in danger for some plan. If she really has no feeling who cares bout his family quarrel and if something happens to jinqi , there's a little possibility of her freedom (she insisting)
2) Her rescue of her husband - her reason Imperial edict blah, come on girl the extra milage, too much for the person you hated, don't care. She could just save her life. And burning of evidence that she could use to gain her freedom. Even not to threatened the Lins but could use to negotiate in exchange of her freedom ( which she always insisting)

Why because ever since their engagement she was looking forward it before and he met the person as slave, she may be not a delusional to aspire a young master, but now that they are married, even that suppressed feeling are out once in a while.

she simply don't want him to die, that's all. She has feeling for him too, there subtle hints but she just in denial stage. She didn't like the way he married her but she like being married to him now for he didn't restrict her to do what she want and the benefit of his connection to help her when she needed. And he always supporting her.

me too , i love him in TBOY, but our first meeting was in love and redemption , when i saw him there my thought was: what a handsome villain, what a waste of facecard haha how can the actor redeem this hated character? he was already a good actor then and then comes TBOY his successful redeeming character from villain to ml.
