I'll stop spamming the comments after this but can we just appreciate the acting of the lady who was trying to…
Amen to that. I found her facial expression to be exaggerated the first time I saw her, like those beauty contestants who are perpetually smiling while on stage. Glad to know later on that she was self-aware of this.
Am I the only one who find this too boring and overrated? I admitt Mr. Gu is handsome and interesting as a person,…
This drama is not for everyone as evidenced by its ratings. The drama presents mundane aspects of life which runs counter to what most viewers want - escapism. Of course, not everyone meets an alcoholic who looks like he is homeless but owns a Rolls-Royce in real life but most ordinary scenes that are bypassed in other dramas are shown relatively longer in this drama.
However, it’s the most buzz worthy drama in SK now and SSK and KJW are ranked first and second place among buzz worthy actors so among its niche viewers, the drama creates conversations to the point that higher rated dramas are overshadowed. I credit it to the drama being introspective and full of symbolism so there’s a lot of discussion among its fans.
I thought Mr. Gu was going to say that he will go back to his world when he hesitated more than once to say something. But wow, “I worship you” was just sooo heart fluttering! Even better than the usual ILY.
same, he's in his 30s but acts like a child. most of his scenes make me want to facepalm so hard from second-hand…
I like them all, even their dad so yes, we all have our preferences.
Enjoy your young age. :) Though my friends and I feel like we are still in our 20s, the realities of life at our age is different. 20s is a time where you feel like you can conquer the world.

Oh. Different strokes for different folks, I guess. I don’t know how old you are but when was young, I thought when people reach a certain age, they act like adults. However, even my male friends who are fathers do act like kids when they have their toys. My mother had a conversation with her friends and they talked about how they feel like they are in their forties even though they’re two/three decades older. As for his behavior while eating, I just find him talkative lol
So the end of episode 10 is a flash-forward or a flash-back? I'm a little confused...
I’m confused too. The abrupt beach scene and Mr. Gu in 2022 is a bit confusing. Perhaps what we are watching now is what happened in the past. I remember someone asking why the phone models aren’t current.
I really love how there is no toxicity in this drama. Like when Mi Jung's mom and dad came to know that she's…
I also love how Mijung’s father even gave advice that the cabinet business is a stable source of income. I think he already has an idea of his past after seeing Mr. Gu being approached by people from his past. So for Mijung’s father to talk about the cabinet business was like telling him that he can still have a good life despite his past. (My fangirl heart says: I like you for Mijung. You can takeover this business someday lol)
To your second point about the metaphor yes, but what confused me is why the characters are acting like he encouraged…
Based on my interpretation of the conversation, Samshik (the one in the yellow vest) believes mr. Gu pushed the girl to commit suicide but mr. Gu did not refute it by saying that what he said was to get therapy because he is riddled with guilt. This is because he recommended that she go see a therapist (the right choice) because he found her burdensome.
Mr. Gu offered to stop worshipping her because based on his past, he failed as a boyfriend and he feels that he won’t be able to worship Mijung the way she wants him to.
Hey Chingues! I hope you are having a great day/night. I am curious who you guys are rooting for for Kijeong....…
I’m rooting for her boss. Someone said on this site earlier that Ki Jung is herself when she is with her boss. Not saying that she is fake with Tae Hoon but there’s this level of honesty between Ki Jung and Tae Hoon which I personally like to happen in my life lol so yeah, I am projecting with my choice.
so it was Mi Jung's voice from the beginning, but I don't understand why he got off! just because of her screaming?
Based on his conversation with Sam Shik, Sanpo is a mid way station/stop. He was asleep and woke up because of Mi Jung. He thought that it was already the stop where he was supposed to get off from. I’m guessing Mr. Gu and Sam Shik were supposed to meet at the last stop.
I saw the writer's previous dramas before this one (another oh hae young and my mister) and I can see similarities…
I feel like she was rejected because Tae Hoon did not have any feelings for her. He was excited to go home to play the vinyl. Based on the next episode though, he seems to have realized that he does like her.
Tae Hoon for me seems to have shut off the possibility of falling in love again after he became a single dad. His divorce may have brought up the pain of abandonment when his parents died and if he would enter in a relationship, and it will fail, it will not only pain him but it may also hurt his daughter in case she gets close to the girl.
It's ok. The leads romance is good but the plot has gotten boring and slow, and I'm getting pretty tired of Lee…
When there are movie versions of books, I always find the book more interesting because I am able to read their thoughts. Being able to hear the thoughts of Changhee is refreshing, especially when most men tend to keep their thoughts to themselves, based on my experience.
One of the biggest question about this drama for me is how tf do they sleep on the ground with such thin mattress.…
Sleeping on the floor isn’t so bad. It may hurt if you’re sleeping on your side and if you move a lot but eventually you get used to it. I heard from people who grew up sleeping on the floor without a mattress that they are uncomfortable when sleeping on a bed, even if the mattress is hard.
I find the general sentiment to this drama fascinating. During the first two episodes, it seemed so unpopular,…
I’m guessing it’s because of word of mouth. In SK, Gong Yoo’s comments may have drum up interest among viewers. Son Sukku and Kim Ji Won are now ranked first and second respectively for the most talked about drama actors/actresses and MLN is ranked second among the currently aired drama.
For those who found the story boring and stayed, the story presents more movement in terms of the changes that are happening among the characters. New viewers may have been warned early on that the show was boring at the start but I have seen new viewers being hooked early on. There’s something about this drama that while nothing seems to be going on, I periodically check how many minutes are left because I don’t want the drama to end.
Silent types are always the cruel and cunning ones....Mi Jeong, hearing stories about her past relationships gave…
For me, the word “always” is a faulty generalization. The way I see it, Mi Jeong’s sentiment comes from a place of insecurity. The word she used was anxious as the more successful her ex was, the more inclined he was to find someone else who was at the same level as him. She has, in the previous episodes, verbalized that she felt inadequate of her skills and talent. Contextualize that with their conversation where they were talking about scoring themselves and other people, Mi Jeong’s confession is a way of acknowledging how she adhered to society’s standards that partners in a relationship should be of equal or similar “score” but this time, she is liberating herself from such societal standard.
Goog yoo just posted another post saying that this deserve more viewership wanting more people to watch it
Hopefully, the show will get a ratings boost due to his promotion of this drama. He is picky when it comes to CFs so his post means a lot. His promotion is more meaningful to me compared to his promotion of 2521 as none of the actors/actresses in MLN belong to SOOP.
Also, based on Gong Yoo’s interviews, he is very introspective and insightful. I even see a bit of Mi Jung in him.
