I do understand why Xin Xing wanted to escape. We all feel like that at times. Wanting to leave everything and everyone behind and start over. She knows it isn't Tian Yu's fault but the way his mother has constantly been pouring salt over her and her mother's wounds is too much. It is one thing that his mother tried to demean her... but she went directly to her mother and hurt her. Who would like to see their mother cry? Only way to get her to stop was to break up with Tian Yu as well.
Yes, ideally she should not care but she JUST found out about everything that happened with her father and it's like facing her father's demise all over again. Of course she needs time to recover before she can think straight. But only Tian Yu can make his mother stop acting so shamelessly. She turned her own guilt into a weapon to attack Xin Xing. How weak and miserable! She had to face her own loss, and yet she can't empathize with another person.
So many shameless and heartless people in the world spouting their cheap mentality to hurt others. This drama has really captured all of them well especially in the last few episodes.
They made Tian Yu's mother seem good for 1 episode but nah. Irredeemable and selfish. It's not the incident itself but how she has conducted herself ever since. The more she talks, the worse she comes across.
Huang Wei Ting is a psycho! They need more laws in the world to protect women by their ex-partners. He is an abusive man just like his pathetic mother! Even without these circumstances, he and his family would have tortured Xin Xing and made her life miserable. This just exposed what disgusting mindsets they all have.
Wei Ting's sister is another pathetic little schemer. This family doesn't know how to move on!
Zhao Xun is also being selfish and was really awful to Tian Yu.
Seeing Xin Xing and her mother being hurt repeatedly by these people has got me so upset I was tearing up. So glad for Tian Yu, Zhao Xun's father and Tian Yu's grandpa's positive characters.
well they only had a heart transplant, not a brain so whatever decision its control by YW's brain not JW's. lol…
I didn't see ep 10 yet but based on it's preview they are really dragging this out. And agreed. If she's dumping him, why make that statement to begin with. lol. The writers just wanted to be dramatic and make her give him hope and then say no. I am hoping the last 4 episodes can help this drama redeem itself because I had such high expectations. Every time I start enjoying it again, something ridiculous happens.

haha that is true that it's the heart. Maybe it feels more like his heart once used to beat for the FL so now CYW is feeling those same emotions/reactions.
The fact that they were half brothers makes this whole thing sadder. And they even revealed that he was in Korea for the transplant and then he left for USA. Did it never cross his mind even once the coincidence that Jin Woo died and donated his organs around the same time that he received a heart transplant? I don't know why but I keep finding Cha Young Woon a bit shady. Something about him doesn't quite sit right with me. Why did Park Ki Young hate his family so much? Was it simply jealousy? He said they use humans. He didn't just form this opinion after the transplant. He's been obsessed with him for a while.
One thing that is really annoying me about this drama is that it seems the main leads are purposely written a bit slow. When the audience has guessed what has happened ages ago and are simply waiting for the story's characters to catch up, it's disappointing. And of course the trope where the bad guy says, "I know what you don't but I'm not gonna tell you!". Okay then stop talking about it. :/
I wonder if this show is pulling a Mouse where Jin Woo's heart is transplanted to Young Woon, that's why he started having feelings for Young Joo. Because I was getting the feeling initially that Jin Woo likes her but he would say that she and his brother make a good couple. Plus Young Woo's personality also changed quite a bit after the transplant. His parents also seemed a bit surprised when he said he wants to marry Young Joo.
Not sure how you came to this conclusion from the books or the show, if you actually read or watched at all. So…
If you can't read the review given with reasons, then don't expect me to read a book by a fascist enabler. You might enjoy serving dictators and authoritarian regimes, I do not care for them. Humanity and empathy doesn't exist for you when it comes to Uighurs being killed and disappearing but I'm supposed to help a pompous man get famous? You are the one who is on the wrong side of humanity. But I'm glad you got a kick out of a book and a show. Congratulations. The real hater is you who found time to go through an old review and get offended because not everyone thinks like a mindless drone in your ignorant world.
He did not know the hospital. At most, he knew they are high and mighty people who happens to work in hospital…
Yup. Most families would have questioned the doctors who wouldn't let him meet his brother and then suddenly declare him brain dead. As a police officer he should have been more suspicious. And he could have asked for an autopsy report from the staff he knew. He would have discovered the missing heart. I'm a little disappointed with the writing.
I feel like people should know that this series has violence including sexual assault. So please use discretion if that is something that makes you uncomfortable.

Just a theory.
Yeah! If he had stolen the manuscript and published under his own name and then his brother found out, he'd really be a goner. lol!
