the rating is a bit low but I really like these actors so I want to ignore it.

is there any problem with the writing or why is it so low?
(I’m going to watch it anyways but I want to prepare myself either way)

Those girls were being mean and trying to pretend to be nice. You know she's quite timid and then you corner her,…
i know there will probably be redemption arc or something and they'll all be friends (tbh that's what i want for my girl bless her) but idk if i will forgive them. i'm protective of my girl!!!

Title Glaze of Love Spoiler
EP 6 pissed me off so badly...
Those girls were being mean and trying to pretend to be nice. You know she's quite timid and then you corner her, tell her your friend has a crush on the guy that you constantly see her with, and then you ask her if SHE herself likes him or is dating him - what did you expect her to say the poor girl!

Even if she had been dating Xu Xiao at that moment she would have struggled to speak up and say anything when cornered like that.

Then to have the audacity to corner her AGAIN and make up some bogus claim that "we all agreed he would partner with Yuexin" and accusing her of being 2 faced girl i will beat you!!!

I hate that kind of thing and i hate when people do that - just taking advantage of soft spoken people and bulldozing over them without any sort of consideration for their feelings. They're been doing it this whole time and are too self centred to even see how cruel they're being.

Okay rant over but Xiaocen come and let me protect you from those awful girl omggggggg

the most absolute nothing ass series... like what was even the point? they 2 leads didn't even hsve the chemistry to carry the total nothingness of the story. an actual waste of my time.

i'm just starting this but aside from both of them having supernatural elements, i don't really think these shows…
for sure I think so far the romance the romance is not the main plot of this show whereas the romance was the main plot of Khemjira. many people don’t actually enjoy romance as a plot so definitely can infer why this is more appealing

this show is way better than khemjira i fear
i'm just starting this but aside from both of them having supernatural elements, i don't really think these shows are that similar. tbh i get why they're being compared but i think they're very different and the show you prefer will depend on which genre you're more into.

e.g the 'horror' element of Khemjira is in my opinion heavily overstated and it actually wasn't really that scary at all outside a few scene's. Khemjira had the supernatural spriti element but wasn't a horror show per se. Whereas, GBYFD definitely leans more into that horror element and i think definitely would appeal more to people looking for that scare factor more.

there are many more differences that i think are at play here, and while comparisons are unavoidable (two thai BLs dealing with ghosts airing at around the same time ofc ppl will compare), i think the shows are ultimately two different offerings so the comparisons will never really do it justice.

Considering the adapted novel not having much to go on...This drama is all about the characters...
yesss i feel like definitely the best parts of the plot. it’s the other side plots i find annoying - i wish the plot had followed their relationship without boring without the other stuff. Maybe i need to drop it came come back to it and ill few differently!

unfortunately this drama seems to be running on the chemistry of the main leads and the talent of the actors alone. their performances are the only thing allowing this script to work at all. the romance between xiao Yu and hu xiu is so satisfying and enjoyable, i wish they would have just focused on that. the initial premise with the VR was so good and intriguing too; and actually fresh proposition that felt new and not overly cliche.

I was deeply disappointed to see the drama become bogged down with the other plots and all these cliches we’ve seen in dramas countless times. it serves to ruin what could have been a sweet and heartwarming romance with unnecessary melodrama. it’s almost trying to do too much and instead of properly fleshing it out, they’ve just meant back on cliche tropes

I feel so annoyed because I was really excited for this as a big fan of Lu Yu Xiao but what started out as fresh and appealing, now halfway through feels so contrived.
it’s a shame because the chemistry between our ml’s is 😍😍😍😍😍😍 but this script (don’t even get me started on the second couple because I will actually scream)
