It took me two years (many starts and stops), but I finally finished. The trick was getting to 10...then sticking through the high teens. I'm off to look for the book because I have questions. They made it through the censors, but there's no way those two are straight. What happened at midnight?!! I NEED to know?!!! How'd they meet up again the first time? The second time?
Your first statement seems to be colouring your experience. You need a reset. Maybe, rewatch Are You Human, Too? and then come back to this. He's doing more than convincingly well in this. His loving and longing looks are top tier. It was the same for me with Namgoong Min and Choi Won Young
It is creepy, very creepy. They grew up together like siblings and seeing them having sex it’s disturbing and…
that’d be so much weirder to me. If everything happened when the younger one was older, then there’d be no need to care for him (reluctantly as he did so). Let’s remember that Qian wasn’t even in high school yet. He was a child caring for children. What happened was that there was zero attraction on Qian’s part. So much that he sent him away. Then, they were apart for years. Zhi Yuan’s early adulthood was away from Qian. That separation is the important bit.
As they’re not related, their parents aren’t married and there’s no way a minor (even ignoring financial instability) could adopt another minor, we see why Zhi Yuan never saw Qian as related to him. Ge.
I’ve since read the novel and I’m even more on team “woah, how’d they make it non-creepy?” ‘cause at no point does Zhi Yuan actually mean “ge” the way the sister does. Even the sister isn’t even really a “mei”…they are found family, literally and figuratively, and the only person he actually cares about is Qian.
Still…opinions differ, eh? Taiwan needs to stop with these kinds of stories, though… after On1y One 2 is finished (still holding out hope). They were in the same house for like a month! It’s not the same!!!
*Pulls you aside to whisper* Note: It's implied in my and ShortCircuit's comments. If you state it, it takes away from the already tiny bit of levity being plastered on a terrifyingly horrible (fictional?) situation. I say 1 pychiatrist, ShortCircuit says A clinic of psychiatrists and then you go bigger.
She should focus on recovery, not going to public events. She can barely walk, but already attending one. Guess…
This is her job. She has contracts. It's stated that she attended a brand event. She / Her company has probably spent a lot these weeks on cancelling contracts and appearances.
I love how the actress for the mum played that moment. Teerak has had his whole life and these few months to work out his feelings and his image of his life, partner and future. The mum had seconds- like, a minute max. Her entire world just shifted and she couldn't grieve the life and future she'd imagined for him/ them (maybe being close with his grilfriend/ wife, babysitting grandchildren) because she didn't want him to view her taking time to process as a rejection. Then, the realisation and horror that he'd been worried and fearful because he'd thought she'd be against him being who he was. She couldn't process that... and inviting a hug, hoping she was showing support and providing comfort. Hoping she was saying the right things... and using his height to cry away the future she'd thought he'd have... developing new worries because the world is largely unkind... The actress was phenomenal. I read it all in her face, her eyes, the way she held herself and the children.

I don't live in the US. I wouldn't know what you can see on Netflix. Exactly. It says "The Good Bad Mother" on Netflix, but the Korean says "나쁜엄마" which is just 'Bad Mom'

I said "Netflix needs to stop it with the retitling" because that's how it seemed to me. Some of the shows I watched back in the day now have new titles. All of those retitled ones are Netflix titles. You can use Please Take Care of my Refrigerator as an example. It got rebooted and is airing on Netflix. What's it called now? Chef & My Fridge. It's jarring because you can SEE the actual title and they keep SAYING the actual title. This show is the same. Every episode ends with the title! The Good Bad Mother annoyed me endlessly. You can see the title say 'Bad Mom' and the dialogue reference a perceived bad mother, yet... Jealousy Incarnate now has an unmentionable name. The pun is even gone! And the meaning changed with the "For" in 'Fight My Way'. My assumption is that it's to prevent clashing with similar titles. Understanding that aside, it's (like I said) jarring. Also, if you scroll up, you see three titles. Love Scout is the worst.
