We do not have her side. We have family members who possibly feel guilty from failing to protect her. However, they have lied, manipulated "evidence" and failed to bring ample defence in an actual court.
As outsiders, everything we know is delivered to us with bias and sensationalism.
Then, due to their fame, "news" is passed around on social apps instead of reputable sources.
Allow some credit to the proffessionals.

Of course it wasn't platonic. However, he'd already told Wayu his feelings weren't platonic. So, Wayu was able to properly defend himself instead of going along and thinking it was platonic or wondering if he was oveerthinking.
Flirting isn't pursuit. He reminded Wayu of his interest; possibly, testing his resolve.
Note on tone: I'm a novel reader who is fully behind the main couple and was expecting more of them being obsessed with each other and less of the drama-y and police show-y scenes. Just responding to the comment about how people might not see he's horrible.... He seems good and not just "nice"... the show probably intended to show us who Wayu would've ended up with if he'd stayed on track and how well-suited they were for each other; like, Mind seems to love just as openly and devotedly (is that a word?) as Wayu.

I believe it's because he tried when he thought Wayu was single. Backed off when he knew he wasn't. Tried again when he knew Wayu was single. Backed off again when rejected.

In many countries and cultures, a dowry is a show of respect for the bride.
It shows financial stability and am pretty sure that it's usually given to the bride herself or sometimes to both as a couple after they get married. In some countries, that bit of financial independence and security can save some women.
In this century, a show of financial stability and that both set of parents approve of the marriage is pretty good, no?
