I watched the French version a few years ago. It’s really good, but if the Korean version follows the same plot, you don’t want to watch it if you don’t like spoilers.

The answer is because it’s China. It is a communist country and the government exerts a lot of control on its media through censorship. I think the argument specific to time travel was that it disregarded the importance of historical events or something along those lines, but was really likely an attempt to prevent the use of time travel to make comment on politics. There’s also no homosexuality, vampires, South Korean actors, and other random things.

They circumvent the time travel ban with travelling into fictional worlds. That’s why there have been so many with this theme in the last few years.

It is too long and boring, really, but I appreciate the good relationship between the brothers and sisters, nice and supportive siblings. I’m also happy our FLs friend group are actually friends, they have her back all the way. It’s refreshing in a lakorn. I don’t mind some comically evil characters, but I hate when the female lead is an orphan with zero friends who gets stepped on all the time

I had to quit watching it after he found out the truth because, unlike the Korean version, our male lead becomes vengeful and unpleasant.

I couldn’t take the crazy after the sister died. Way too much mistrust of an entirely innocent person, over and over again. Skipped to the end, hoping to see Tos pay really any price, but, gosh, he said he’s sorry, why haven’t you forgiven him already? One overblown accident to prove your love, then it’s like nothings wrong. Blech

I love this show, but let’s talk about it’s one glaring problem: how often does he ignore a phone call or refuse to call the person he knows is waiting for him? Even if the thing you’re doing is shady (meeting another girl) leaving your girl stranded alone just because you don’t want to make up an excuse is wild.

There are only 2 currently subbed and 4 released on yt. Looks like the 5th will be out in a couple of days. Any clue how quickly or if they will sub the rest?

First of all, I do like this one. It’s just the right amount of crazy, but what I have a hard time with is why does Neung such a jerk to Fah right off the bat? She is, on the surface, in exactly the same situation as his beloved niece, Pink. On top of that, she’s visibly pregnant.

Frustrating, as are most lakorns, so I’m not sure why I keep doing it. It also does that thing that more modern lakorns do when they just can’t stop themselves from adding in a rape. They do it and then they mention repeatedly that she was willing, which she clearly wasn’t. And then she “loves” him. It also has my fave lakorn quirk, when a ml kidnaps a woman to an island, there’s always a nice family who, despite hearing her cries and seeing assault, brush it off as love, just a husband and wife flirting, how cute. And in this one, he’s able to grab her and drag her around repeatedly in public and no one ever bats an eye.

I’m 9 episodes in and I really appreciate that although we all know Wei Lingyue is a scheming power hungry witch, they make her character smart enough to hide it. It drives me crazy when the bad guy does all these openly evil things and pretends innocence. At least she’s subtle and smart about it at the beginning. I suspect that’s going to turn soon, though.

I should know better than to try an put any rational thinking into Thai tv, but I’m on episode 6 and I can’t envision a reasonable, thinking woman forgiving the man who lied to and deceived her sister leaving her upset to the point she tried to kill herself and who stole her family’s land. How could she ever bring him home?

Yeah, it’s short and I finish what I start, but it’s not good at all.

Gotcha, I thought it looked pretty cheap. That makes more sense.

I honestly hadn’t heard of it until I saw the trailer get posted. I kind of prefer not finding out about shows until they’re already on air, so I don’t have to wait. It sounds interesting . Maybe Twisted Fate if Love vibes, traveling to the past to stop a future bad guy, etc

Is there even any conflict? I’m 6 episodes deep and I’m probably dropping it because, as cute as it is, there needs to be something else to make it interesting
