How are you liking it so far? I was wondering if I should give it a try :P
I have also never watched The Condor Heroes, so I was wondering about that as well. One of the things that attracts me the most to a story are the characters themselves (how unique, realistic and interesting they are) and their chemistry with other characters (which is more often than not related to the chemistry between actors as well). Thank you for your reply ❤️ I think I’ll give it a try

Title Shining Just for You Spoiler
to be completely honest. I honestly think that's what should've happened in that drama
It sure could have been an alternate ending! However, I think the end they went with was even more tragic and it’s even more of a punishment for the male lead. In the end, he couldn’t even live with the fact that she was gone because it was too painful. He lived in the delusion that she was just fooling him and never actually died, and he spent his last days searching for her in vain. It’s very heartbreaking :(

for people who would easily say "stop asian hate" you seem to have 0 understanding of it. i am a black-american…
I’m glad we continued the conversation :) everybody has bad days, it’s fine. And I believe we also misunderstood each other. Also, while it feels unfair and hard to be born with setbacks, it usually makes us stronger and more empathetic, and you do come across as a feisty strong gal :) and talking to you made me realize that you also have a strong set of values and beliefs, so give yourself credit! It is because you are so passionate that you are also so angry, and I understand that :) I respect people like you.
I was just asking too much from a comment on a drama website XD I read the comment you were referring to and it was pretty much just an excuse not to have to read further into the issue and I also believe that person was defending themselves because they felt attacked by your comment. :/
Don’t take it personally, your problem means you had to be strong enough to survive everyone’s scrutiny until now, and here you are now , still talking when you feel like you should. Even with your own insecurities.
Although we started on the wrong foot and may have different approaches, it was nice meeting you :) best wishes and stay healthy!
(By the way, I’m from Portugal. We also use a lot of commas) :P
P.S.: I’ll be watching the drama you mentioned! Is it the Designated Survivor: 60 Days here on MDL? Or is it a movie?

I am truly sorry if I made you feel upset... :( It wasn’t my intention, but I truly am ignorant about this issue and was hoping to read the conversation on both sides in the comments, probably because I’m lazy in learning things about history which I understand is a big flaw, and you are right in saying I should have searched elsewhere. But I really just wanted to understand. It might be from my end, since I’m also not native in the language and may have a harder time understanding it if it’s not presented perfectly.

I understand you feel deeply affected by it and I also hope for a better world where people are empathetic towards the pain of others instead of ignoring it, or mocking it. I’m also a very emotional person so I understand and agree with what you said, however, I still believe that the best way to change the minds of people who don’t know better is to teach them, not in an aggressive tone but calmly, firmly and kindly with facts that they cannot deny. If you feel like you are being attacked, your first reaction will be to defend. Being calm, respectful and accurate may help in making a change too! Anger can also propel change in the world, I agree, but maybe not change the minds of most people. Sometimes it’s best to calm down before writing a comment. But maybe that’s my way of viewing the world and humans. I think you misunderstood me as well, although I did not like the tone of your comment, My response not to offend you but to give advice.
I did try to read the whole comment though. It’s not like I gave up half way. And it’s not about MY feelings, it’s about the effect that feelings have on people reading it, and their willingness to learn if you are being aggressive. Kind of like why vegans get a bad reputation even though it’s a good cause.
I truly hope you are feeling well and again,, I truly am sorry if I hurt you, know that I didn’t mean to! And you seem pretty knowledgeable, In no way did I intend to say you were not intelligent. Maybe it’s just that I don’t understand English well if it’s written in an informal manner :/
I’ll try to do my own research to have a better understanding of the situation elsewhere.

Oh, I’m sorry for your dyslexia. I apologize if that comment offended you. It’s just that I was having a hard time following sometimes.
I was trying to tell you that instead of being angry you can actually change the minds of ignorant people like myself. Not telling you that the way you are feeling is wrong or unjustified. But I see you were just trying to vent and have no interest in teaching other people and you have every right to. I was just disappointed because I wanted to understand the other side of the discussion.
If you are going through anything please know that I wasn’t trying to attack you personally, and I’m sorry if my comment made you feel worse.

I haven’t taken a stance on this yet because I’m very unaware of the whole situation and history surrounding the drama. So I was honestly trying to learn from your post to read both points of view. I’ve majored in sciences and I’m admittedly quite ignorant in history , but I didn’t want to read the article you posted since it is very long (I’m a lazy sloth when it comes to history) and I thought you were making a summary of it in your second post. But you were so angry in writing it that I found it very hard to read and couldn’t understand much. I understand you are angry, but try to calm down first and be a bit reasonable or else less people will be willing to actually hear the point you are trying to make.
I’m not trying to be offensive to you, as I don’t know you, but I don’t like reading such aggressive posts and I was disappointed because I didn’t learn much about what specifically is wrong with the movie. Something about them not holding their own government accountable? I don’t know, I did not understand, maybe because of how you presented and wrote the information, maybe because you spent a big portion of your text being aggressive, or maybe because I have close to 0 brain cells, as you implied. I hope you understand what I’m trying to say: anger and hate will not change the minds of the people who you are so adamantly criticizing. Instead of actually teaching people you are driving them away by your antagonizing demeanor. I truly did not like your tone. I admit I am ignorant in history, but I’m sure you don’t know half as much as I do in other departments. If I’m learning new things I prefer reading about medicine, biology, pharmacology, etc. Instead of pointing out how ridiculous the other one is, should we not respectfully and calmly teach one another? That way we would both be happier in the end. Unless your goal is just to vent your anger. If so, than that’s that, I’m not going to criticize you. You are just a human and we all need to vent sometimes. Just don’t pretend this post was about educating instead of offending and venting.
I’m not like you, I don’t care much what humans did in the past, even though I find different cultures fascinating and beautiful.
Also, I’m not sure what exactly happened with the other user who replied to you, but I will not block you. However, If you respond in an agressive or depreciating way don’t expect me to reply.
All this aside, best wishes, hope you stay healthy :)
P.S. if you want international readers to understand the totality of what you are saying try to write in a more accessible way, with the correct punctuation, and abstain from abbreviations. And no, I’m not a native English speaker.

There's tons more of these, not every jdrama has the "anime-like" acting, those are in *some* of those shoujo…
Thank you for the recommendations, before you all commented here, I really did not know where to start! ❤️ Especially since Japanese romance dramas seem to have lower ratings than kdramas and even Cdramas on MDL (I’m not really sure why though) Now I have so many new dramas to try out!!

In my country, unless you state otherwise before you die, everyone is regarded as an organ donor when they pass…
Wow, it sounds like it will be an interesting read. And it’s 9 mins in audio format. I’m actually in the science/health field, so I think I’ll give it a go! Thank you for the recommendation ❤️

Hmm i know some people take it too far and can be quite mean esp when talking abt somebody's appearance, which…
Completely agree with this part :) I agree he deserves punishment, however I find people on both extremes to be wrong... we are all humans, we all make mistakes. A decision made in a moment of panic does not necessarily define who you are. We don’t know if he would have gone back on his own or not. Still, running away was very wrong and he deserves punishment. Hope he reflects on it and grows from the experience

It’s a really good thing right?? :) We won’t need any organs when we’re dead. If any of them are still viable for transplant, it could save not only the life of the person receiving the organ but also the lives of that person’s loved ones who would suffer tremendously with their death...

I'm pretty disgusted with cancel culture. Ji Soo is a great actor and has been acting for many years, and suddenly…
As someone who was bullied I have mixed feelings. I feel like if he had truly changed he would have apologized to the victims privately long ago, he is not a child and shouldn’t live his life pretending he didn’t deeply hurt other people in the past. I also don’t know the extent of the bullying but I can imagine a victim feeling hatred for him, seeing how he became rich, famous and successful and putting on a good guy facade after doing really nasty things that might have scarred someone’s life, even if he was a child (again, I don’t know how bad the bullying was). Also, I don’t think we should discredit someone’s suffering.
That being said, I agree that cancelling someone forever based on things they’ve done as a child may be too much. We are humans, we make mistakes... while I hope that he takes some time to reflect, sincerely apologize and repent, I also hope he is not cancelled forever and has a chance to come back! I agree that cancel culture in Asia is a bit out of control. The people who should be completely cancelled are criminals or people who have done unforgivable things...

Jesus talk about judging a book by its cover smh...Both these ppl that commented underneath me really need to…
I don’t know absolutely anything about the actor but as a human, I can understand that he was scared of facing the consequences and wanted to run away. Still, he went back and is now having to deal with things head on. I can’t say he is a horrible person based on this. Maybe he would have gone back even if he wasn’t persuaded, taking into account that it only took 3 mins for him to change his mind. He is just a human after all. And no one died thank goodness. I’m not sure how I feel about this cancel culture going on in Asia though... is he never gonna have the chance to act again?

The best take home message is sign up as organ donor!!!! If we ever want to receive one have the responsibility…

Thank you for your insight :) the drama has such a low rating that I was wondering if it was worth giving it a try.
