Title Distorted
This was a good, engaging drama that kept me hooked the whole time. It’s not on the level of Stranger as some have said, but it doesn’t have to be. It’s its own thing, and I had a great time watching it.

Loved all the scenes of the main characters working together to piece together the puzzle. The biggest strength of the drama is the great chemistry between the cast. The synergy was amazing and whenever they’d hit a breakthrough or get bad news, I was so invested.

There’s no romance, but there’s definitely a spark between Moo Young and So Ra. Their moments together were awesome and it’s implied there might be something there eventually. Underrated drama.

It is Criminal justice remake. But I don't know why it is uncannily similar to The Night Of.
The Night Of is the US remake of Criminal Justice.

Title One Ordinary Day Spoiler
I’ve seen the US version of this called “The Night Of”. I’m curious if they’ll have the same ending…
So in The Night Of they keep it purposefully vague on who the real culprit is because it really didn’t matter. The ML had to survive in prison and ultimately helped someone commit murder in prison to be safe. The US one was how the prison system screws with you, even if you were innocent. When Riz Ahmed gets out of prison, he is no longer innocent even if he didn’t commit the murder that he was imprisoned for. When he got out, he was a drug addict, his relationship with his mother crumbled, and it ends on a note that he is fucked for life and will likely go back to prison for another crime because of how he got screwed over.

Looking forward to see if the Korean version plays out differently.

I’ve seen the US version of this called “The Night Of”. I’m curious if they’ll have the same ending or it’ll deviate slightly. The ending of the US one makes perfect sense for the story.

Spoiler of the US version in the comments below.
On Now, We Are Breaking Up Nov 23, 2021
There are only 4 episodes aired so far, but I already feel this is heading in the wrong direction. The story is all over the place but even the technical aspects, editing, directing and acting is slightly off. There’s something missing here. Hopefully they turn it around because on paper this was one of my most anticipated dramas this year.

can you tell me who is with whom? and who ends up with whom?
Tae Pyung and Joon Young end up together at the end.
On Idol: The Coup Nov 23, 2021
Hani and Kwak Shi Yang have good chemistry. I don’t know if they’ll go the romance route but their scenes together are some of the best so far in the drama.

Its only been a month but I miss this drama so much. Is there anything similar to this other than My Mister? I love these slow paced and contemplative dramas. They only appeal to a certain niche but they’re wonderful.
On The Crowned Clown Nov 22, 2021
I genuinely thought that with that title it would be a light drama with comedic elements. It certainly was not. This was a really sad drama for the most part. Great performance by the lead actor.
On Signal Nov 22, 2021
Title Signal
I like Lee Je Hoon but his performance
is weird here. Feels like a caricature rather than a character. I also wish he and the female lead were on the same page sooner. I hate it when these kind of dramas make the two lead characters suspect each other when we know it’ll work out eventually. At least do it a way that makes better sense like Beyond Evil.

A quite enjoyable drama. I almost didn’t watch it because the reception seems mixed in the comments. Not the best Nam Goong Min drama but this was pretty good and definitely worth giving a shot. A solid 8/10 drama. An intriguing mystery that slowly unravels. First half is stronger than the second but it has a satisfactory ending.

The ML was fantastic and carried the show. I liked his chemistry with Hye Won. No explicit romance but they obviously liked and cared about each other and you could clearly see that. Even though their relationship concludes with an open ending, she knows that he is alive and he’s still keeping watch over her so they’ll be reunited eventually for sure.

Yoon Sun Woo was also wonderful here; a real scene stealer. Would love to see him in more dramas with larger roles. He’s handsome and talented enough to be a leading man and I hope he has good projects in the future.
On The Good Detective Nov 16, 2021
I loved this drama. There’s nothing new here but it does everything right. What makes it enjoyable is the interactions between the characters. They all have great chemistry together and it makes the story compelling. You know pretty early on who the antagonists are, but they’re charismatic and entertaining. Had some unexpected heartwarming scenes which is good to see in a drama like this. Can’t wait for season 2.
On Dali & Cocky Prince Nov 16, 2021
I enjoyed this more than Hometown Cha Cha Cha which surprised me. I watched bought of them in close proximity but I liked the characters and personalities of the leads in this one more than that one. Really loved the chaotic energy the ML brought contrasted with the reserved nature of FL. They’re a great pair.

I’ve only seen the first episode, and the ml having a crush on the fl gives me the implication that she’ll reciprocate the feelings but he’ll die right after that. These zombie/ post apocalyptic dramas like doing that. Something like this happened in Sweet Home as well. The writings on the wall. I hope I’m wrong though.
On Dali & Cocky Prince Nov 12, 2021
This was a great romcom. It was more plot driven than character driven especially towards the end but nonetheless good. The leads were fantastic and now we can confidently say Kim Min Jae is definitely a leading man. Didn’t like his previous drama but he was fantastic here. The FL was incredible and her hair style was great I don’t care what people say. Good supporting characters as well like Won Tak and Chak Hee.

Ngl this would be much better if it was told in a linear way rather than the back and forth in the timeline. It works for something like Signal (writer also wrote that) but this is just a cheap trick to keep audiences guessing but it’s just a frustrating storytelling choice lol. I’ll wait till it’s done airing before continuing.

This has to be one of the most poignant dramas I’ve ever seen. It evokes feelings that are familiar to us all.…
I wasn’t expecting romance but I’m so glad it’s there and that it ended on an open but very positive ending. The conclusion of Jung Ah Ran might frustrate some but I think it was handled in a realistic way. There was no dramatic payback from the FL but I’m okay with how it was handled. I’m just glad the FL was at peace and finally gave a real smile at end when she sees the ML.

Just reading the comments below, many people, including myself guessed the ending in that they’ll meet again after some time when their lives are in order and it’ll end ambiguously. My Mister did the same. I like the ending but these endings are like a cliche for these kind of dramas.

This has to be one of the most poignant dramas I’ve ever seen. It evokes feelings that are familiar to us all. The chemistry is insane; so much is said in scenes without dialogue and just characters staring at each other. No words could convey the feelings as well as the way they just look at each other. The best drama I’ve seen this year.

I have some more spoiler thoughts below.

Does this drama have a happy ending?

I’m planning to start Hometown now that it’s completed airing. Love these kind of dramas but prefer binge watching rather than waiting weekly.
