Why can’t all second male leads be like this one? Ji Sung Hyun was such a great guy and his chemistry with Du-Shik was even better than with Hye Jin. Best SML ever. So likeable and very respectful.
They make like only 1 drama a year like this where the love triangle is handled in a tasteful way.
I’m halfway through the drama but can someone satisfy my curiosity. Do the divorced couple get back together? They have great interactions and most of the town still calls her his wife even though it’s been 3 years.

Finished it in 2 days. If you’re considering watching this - you should. It’s a great slow burn thriller with a thrilling climax and I was so immersed. The acting is incredible and I got chills watching this. It’s a 9/10 for me.
I’m about halfway through and this is a hidden gem. Kim Min Chul is a great anti-hero and I’m rooting for him. What a performance by him and the other actor that plays the antagonist.
Honestly the village people are so naive and them not believing Min Chul actually makes me hope they get screwed over. They’re ignorant, narrow minded people who only see the world in black and white. So easy to manipulate; I have no sympathy for them especially after not listening to Min Chul numerous times.
As others below have mentioned there is no way this should be 16 episodes. The first 4 episodes could have all been condensed into an episode or 2. The acting between the leads is great though and despite the sluggish pace I do like the relationship between them especially when the wife learns the truth and is determined to support the husband.
As others have mentioned below, I think the younger ML is seriously miscast. He seems like a guy better suited as a second lead. The writing isn’t the best but a more capable actor would have given a better performance with the same writing.
The whole gambling plot was so stretched out. It would have been better if it was 12 episodes or a slice of life drama about young students at police university and their daily struggles. Looks like another upcoming drama called “Our Police Course” is closer to what I’m looking for.
Nice drama that moves along really fast. It’s definitely worth watching. I really liked seeing a Kdrama where the fl isn’t shy talking about sex. The lead actress I liked a lot and look forward to seeing her in other dramas.
Loved the drama. It’s got this melancholy feeling throughout and honestly I felt so bad for the male lead. So much angst but great performances. I was satisfied with the ending as well. It made perfect sense to me. This drama is a good example of how to put little romance in a thriller without making it annoying.
I had been hesitant to watch this due to the lukewarm reaction but I’m glad I completed it. It reminded me of the drama Discovery of Love. The ML in this wasn’t even as bad as people said. It was about two flawed people trying to sort out their feelings and also showed how messy it can be. The characters are purposely written to be messy in an attempt to give a realistic approach. It doesn’t always work but I appreciate how this drama avoids some of obvious tropes in the genre and has a sort of realistic tone. It’s worth giving a shot imo.
I was pleasantly surprised by the tone of the show. I’m glad that it was laid back and had a chill vibe rather than melodrama. There were still stakes in the story despite the sprinkling of comedy. The friendship that develops between the prisoners was heartwarming and the chemistry was excellent. Great drama other than the fact that like every episode’s runtime is equivalent to feature length film which is slightly obnoxious. They didn’t have to be that long really.
Bro I confused this with another upcoming drama starring Seo Hyun Jin called “Why Oh Soo Jae?” I’ve seen some people hate on this but I’m looking forward to this cause I like the cast and hopefully it’s good. Lee Do Hyun is having a great run with 18 Again, Sweet Home and Youth of May.
