I made a whole account because I had to tell you how funny your review is!!!!!!!! Like, I am laughing my behind…
At this point the only rational explanation for the about and amount od times that Way cries is this...

They had a water delivery company want to be a sponsor, but they couldn't figure out the product placement scenes so they took a water hole, shoved it up his back side and emptied the whole tanker truck into him.... then told him they thought about kicking his puppy.

That's the only thing that makes sense for the constant stream of tears!!

or you know the writers are just for shit and Star Hunter doesn't know what to do with so many actors. lol
On Gen Y Season 2 Jan 26, 2022
Seriously why are people continuously confused about Sandee when he's the most open book straight forward character in the series. He has a very intense sense of right/wrong and very strong and ridged belief in destiny/fate and that it must be followed.

He's intervened when he's felt someone was wrong when it comes Pok and Tong.

He intervened when he though the pre-destined fate between Phai and Thanu was being interfered with by Wayu.

He's starting to learn that things aren't as black and white as he's believed and that life is more complicated and messy than that. He's honestly one of the only characters in the series to have real growth, just written and executed terribly by no fault of the actor.

------

Kit and Mark just need to quit with this rubbish trial separation already. It's obvious Kit has already realized that he's totally in love with Mark and doesn't want to leave him. We get it, he's a prideful little stubborn sob, but at this point he's just hurting himself as much as he is Mark, and could be spending that time finding better opportunities that will enhance his studies without having to leave the country.

------

Someone please launch Wayu into the sun so he'll dry out enough he'll never freaking cry again and maybe lighting a fire under his ass will finally give him a personality.

-------

Kho and Jack just need to quietly disappear and get their own series already. At this point they aren't even the comic relief anymore, they've become fluff because the writers/director need something to fill in the gaps of Wayu staring off into space and crying. Hell even they don't want Wayu anymore. lol

-------

It's time for Pok and Tong to get over their past shit and talk things out. They've had their angry sex, they've done the whole I still love you but I don't want to look at you phase, now it's time for the I'm here to protect you, I still love you, I forgive you but it'll take time to trust you, and the inevitable makeup sex.

-------

At this rate Star Hunter has thrown so much spaghetti at the wall to see what sticks, the only thing they haven't tried yet is a Sandee x Phai relationship yet, although I wouldn't be surprised if that's next. They have some really good actors, the writers/director are the downfall.

Still hoping Dan isn't as gullible as he seems and is playing Giwi for evidence to get himself out of trouble and that he's been secretly hiding Mikey in that hotel so he's safe.

I still think Tim deserves a proper redemption arc, I think he's realized he's gone too far and trying to make things right, but he doesn't know who he can trust.

The real question is....who is Tin's partner in league with. He knew Mim is still alive, that she's pregnant, and where Tin was hiding her.
On Color Rush Season 2 Jan 23, 2022
They really should have just stayed with one season of Color Rush and made something else instead of this. It does nothing to really add to the value of the first season and takes away from the overall that was the first season story.
On You're My Sky Jan 20, 2022
So far Dome and Vee seem like they might be the interesting ones to watch, but overall two episodes in and really couldn't care less about any of them. There's no energy to this series so far which is really odd since sports are so high energy.

Your description of Wayu is perfect. He lets things happen to him instead of taking control of his life. He lets…
I definitely agree, I don't think it's Bas's fault either.

Love Bas.I miss his Wayo from Moons where he stood toe-to-toe with the Pha character ... and then cried in private.…
Ohhhh, you mean when he actually had a personality?? lol
On Gen Y Season 2 Jan 20, 2022
Personally I think episode 5 is the best of the worst for what this season has been so far, which isn't exactly saying much how low the bar has been.

I have nothing against the actor Bas, but the character Wayu should be obliterated and whoever created that character should at least be sat in a corner for a few centuries and made to think what they did wrong or never be allowed to create a character without adult supervision ever again. A literal corpse has more personality than the Wayu character does and it's not Bas's lack of talent in acting, it's there simply isn't anything to act. He's a plastic bag blowing in the wind, there's no personality, no motivation, no character growth, just simply going from situation to situation and looking to others to make every decision for him. Wayu should want to kill Pha and then have the hospital staff bring him back so he can kill him again out of anger for what he put him through, then break down because the person he loves is dying and all the emotional turmoil this whole thing has caused him...instead what do we get, a whole lot of staring expressionless and a whole lot of nothing else.

The only thing salvaging this season so far is Mark X Kit and Pok X Tong with a healthy helping of Sandee level crazy mixed in. The real question is does the fault in this lay with the writer, the director, or both.

Title Behind Cut
As a multiple episode series this is a dumpster fire inside a dumpster fire inside a dumpster fire. It's like going to get a haircut and asking for just a little off the top and they decapitate your head instead.

I get it, they don't have sponsors so they film as a movie and then segment it into a series so they can profit off it twice. There's absolutely nothing wrong with that...as long as the editing is down correctly and the transition scenes that are cut from the series version don't take away from the story. A great example of this done correctly is "Wish You" where the scenes removed for the series version took nothing away from it, but beautifully completed the movie version and gave it a fuller feeling.

The editing for episode 6 and 7 for behind cut makes absolutely no and completely destroys what's going on in the story at that point. There's not even bits left for the audience to try to guess.

I was actually liking this or at least the potential that the movie version would have had until this whole episode 6-7 disaster. Unless there's a good 10-20 minutes added back to this section to have it make some sort of sense, I'm definitely not as excited about a movie version of it as I was before.

Title Limited Edition Spoiler
I'm an 80's kid, we grew up on whole series, movies, etc. being done as giant commercials for toy lines, etc. where the promotion of the product was the primary concern and everything else was secondary.

Why do I mention this you ask....

Because this dumpster fire is nothing but a weak, terribly written series wrapped around a product placement for designer shoes.

------spoilers ahead------

There was more chemistry between Mario and Arnold in that scene in the final episode than there ever was between Mario and Jethro in the entire series. We're supposed to believe in the handful of times they were together in the original 60 days that they both fell so deeply in love with each other that neither of them could get over it, despite both of them stringing along other partners during that time....and the partners are both just okay with it??!!

I get the intent of the story, that there are people that come into our lives no matter how long or brief that time may be that shape / change our lives forever, but this was so terribly done. The only positive side to this series is that there were moments that showed the potential of the actors and of the crew to produce something better in the future.

The movie versions are always better to wait for as they flow so much better.

With the way the first few episodes have been so far, wait until the whole season is out and hope it eventually gets better. That is if you care about anything other than just seeing the guys.

Honestly, GMMTV hold some horrible actors/actresses. It’s like they don’t give them any training before throwing…
Did you not watch their 2022 releases press conference they did? They've added quite a few new actors that will be in the upcoming series.

I'm really surprised I don't hate this series given how I felt at the end of the first season. However, it's just…
Star Hunter could definitely do with doing something like a 2-3 week version of the "Safe House" series that GMMTV has done. That way they could really see which actors gel together, would work well together and have chemistry together. That would go a long way in helping with part of the issues they're having. Like you said, there's a couple of them really trying to make it work, but they can only do so much with what they're given.
On Love in the Air Dec 30, 2021
The worst thing about this is she'll end up finding actors with the amazing ability to take her absolute shit writing, poorly created/developed characters, antiquated (I'm not gay I just like you) and ten billion other clichés and make it watchable.

We'll hate her even more, die a little more inside, and then end up doing it all over again for the next rinse and repeat.

I could definitely see this getting some sort of continuation if not a full season 2. If Singto couldn't be in it because of no longer being with GMMTV then they could easily have Krating come back after finishing his studies and become the head chef and introduce new characters. Wier said many times that eventually he wanted to open his own shop, so that would be an easy way for them to write him out of the story.
On Gen Y Season 2 Dec 30, 2021
StarHunter has a handful of talented actors that really try their hardest to make the best of the shitty material they're given. The rest are either too lazy to even "phone it in" or haven't been given the support to develop their talent. They really need to take a look at what the other studios are doing both in terms of their series and how they are developing their talent.

Like I've said elsewhere, they're great when it's a small tight cast like with "My Mate Match", but they just don't have the support behind the camera, especially when it comes to writing, directing, and acting coaching / talent development. A lot of these actors would really shine under a different studio.

The big revelation in this episode completely fell flat and was devoid of any emotional weight other than from Copter of course, but even then the scene was cut far short of it's potential. This is tuning into something akin to a high school / college level production where they bite off way more than they could chew.

Mean, cast and crew put together a brand new studio and managed to produce the amazing "The Yearbook" series ass their first production. There's no reason why an established studio like Starhunter can't at match that level of quality.
On Loveless Society Dec 26, 2021
I just finished episode 4.

Do I like the series so far... no
Are there issues with every aspect of the series so far... yes

Why the hell am I still watching it then you ask....

Because this is their first series production (as far as I could find) with a bunch of first timers all around. The worst that will happen is there won't be any improvement with this series or hints at their potential in the next and I will have wasted a few hours of my life. On the flip side of that, it could turn out that they've seen the feedback from the first four episodes and used the production down time to make corrections and the last 6 episodes turn out amazing, or there could be enough hints of their potential to follow them to their next series which could end up being amazing.

There's a lot of these new production studios popping up trying to do a full series lately, many of which only did short form videos in the past. There's also a lot of them trying to jump on the BL bandwagon because it's the hot trend these days and were the focus and money is. I don't have an issue with any of that, but what separates the ones worth following and the ones that don't make it are how committed they really are to the genre. If you're just in it for the cash grab then get out now and stop wasting your money, you'll never have the quality to get there. If you're actually interested in the BL genre, then make sure you have the cast and crew that are in it for the same reasons and if there aren't lgbtq+ amongst the cast and crew either hire some or consult with people who are.

Very few women understand the complexities between male friendships, interactions, etc. and ever less so when it comes to same sex male relationships. The same thing can be said for a male writer when it comes to women. A perfect example of this is MAME and the way she writes her male characters, they're always extremely shallow and never breaks beneath the surface. This could be balanced by having a production crew that have that deeper experience, but she producers everything herself. Then on the other side of that you have Afterday, Backaof, and the rest of the screenplay writers giving everything a depth and complexity that along with the actors makes Bad Buddy the amazing series it is.

If this production studio can take these lessons and apply them to themselves then the writing will improve that most of the rest will be easily forgiven until they improve on all other aspects as well.

This is why I'm still watching it even though I'm not really enjoying it right now, because I've seen others pull it off before and end up producing amazing things.
On Gen Y Season 2 Dec 25, 2021
This is what happens when you have too many actors and not enough resources / crew talent to know how to properly use them. The other studios like GMMTV know how to handle massive casts and have the talent behind the scenes to do it. So far S2 Ep1 was just a complete and total cluster f$#&.

Star Hunter can produce some great stuff when it's a smaller, tighter cast. A perfect example of this was My Mate Match. I'm going to keep watching it for now to see if it gets any better, but if the first episode is any indication, I think it's time Star Hunter took a good inwards look and refocused.
On 55:15 Never Too Late Dec 21, 2021
I think one of this series' greatest strengths is also it's biggest weakness, that's how they're spending a whole episode on just the backstory of one character at a time. I personally really like it and think it's different over the typical trickle flashbacks, etc. that are normally done. That being said, if a viewer is only interested in a couple of the characters, I can see how it could be annoying for them and a turn off to watch.

We're 6 episodes in now so they've covered all of the main characters and their backstories...now we should get to the more interesting bit. I think one of the things that I'm liking the most about this series is there's so many different ways they can go with it and for once I don't know where it'll go.
